Last night and early this morning (September 27), heavy rain continued to fall in the Northern Delta and Central regions. Specifically, the Northern Delta, Hoa Binh and Quang Binh had moderate rain, with some places having heavy rain; Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh had heavy to very heavy rain.
Rainfall from 8am on September 26 to 8am on September 27 in Hoa Binh province, from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh was measured as follows: Quy Chau (Nghe An) 410mm; Thach Xuan (Ha Tinh) 307mm; Thanh Phong (Thanh Hoa) 223mm; Tan Lam (Quang Binh) 191mm; Tan Pheo and Lung Van in Hoa Binh were 172.6mm, 167.6mm respectively...

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this morning, floods on the Ngan Sau and Ngan Pho rivers (Ha Tinh) have peaked, the peak flood level on the Ngan Sau river at Chu Le: 12.89m (2am September 27), 0.39m above the warning level 2; at Hoa Duyet 7.24m (2am September 27), 0.26m below the warning level 1; Ngan Pho river at Son Diem 11.78m (2am September 27), 0.28m above the warning level 2.
Currently, the flood in Ngan Sau, Ngan Pho and Gianh rivers is receding, the downstream of La river (Ha Tinh) and rivers in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An are rising. The water level at 7:00 a.m. on September 27 on the rivers is as follows: Ngan Pho river at Son Diem is 10.53m, 0.53m above level 1; Gianh river at Dong Tam is 7.7m, 0.7m above level 1; at Mai Hoa it is below level 1. Other rivers are still below level 1.
The Meteorological Agency warns that floods on the Ngan Sau, Ngan Pho and Gianh rivers continue to recede, while rivers in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and the downstream of the La river continue to rise. In the next 24-48 hours, the peak water level on rivers in Nghe An and small rivers in Thanh Hoa will rise to level BĐ1 and above BĐ1; the downstream of the Ma river (Thanh Hoa) and the La river will remain below level BĐ1.
Heavy rain for many hours, soil moisture model shows that some areas in Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh provinces are nearly saturated (over 95%) or have reached saturation, high risk of flash floods on small rivers, streams, landslides on slopes in many districts in the coming hours.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from now until September 28, Thanh Hoa to Nghe An will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 70-150mm, in some places over 250mm.
During the day and night of September 27, from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, some places over 50mm. In the South Central and Central Highlands, in the afternoon and evening, there will be showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, some places over 60mm.
