The first monthly competition of the 25th edition of Road to Olympia witnessed a dramatic competition between 4 contestants: Tran Le Minh Triet (Gifted High School - Ho Chi Minh City National University), Luc Duy Manh (Cho Don High School, Bac Kan), Tran Minh Quyet (Thanh Liem B High School, Ha Nam) and Le Tien Trong Nghia (Trung Phu High School, Ho Chi Minh City).
Entering the Warm-up round, Minh Triet took the lead with 70 points, Duy Manh 60 points, Minh Quyet 55 points and Trong Nghia 5 points.
The keyword to look for in this month's Obstacle Course consists of 7 letters. The first horizontal line chosen contains the question: "Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish are the six official languages of the United Nations?". Four contestants scored points with the answer "Language".
As soon as the answer to the first question was announced, Minh Quyet quickly pressed the bell to gain the right to answer the obstacle mystery, but was unsuccessful and had to stop the game.
The remaining three contestants came to the second row with the question: "Find the right word to get the Olympic slogan: “…more, Higher, Stronger – Together?” . Duy Manh was the only one to give the answer and scored with the answer “Fast”.
Next, Duy Manh had the signal to press the bell to gain the right to answer the obstacle mystery, but still not correctly.
Two candidates Minh Triet and Trong Nghia continued to the third row with the question: "The sum of a series of 7 consecutive even numbers is 14112. What is the largest number in the series of values?". Neither candidate answered correctly.
The fourth horizontal row was selected with the question: "On 21 May 2024, the EU Council adopted a law that, for the first time in the world, established a legal and regulatory framework for a special subject, unique to the technological age. What is that subject?". No candidate answered correctly the answer to this question.
Enter the central box question: "What term refers to an artificial intelligence program designed to simulate conversations with users via the Internet platform?" . Minh Triet quickly pressed the signal to correctly answer the hidden obstacle that needed to be found, which was "Chat GPT".
After the second round, Minh Triet led with 100 points, Duy Manh 80 points, Minh Quyet 65 points, Trong Nghia 15 points.
In the Acceleration round, Minh Triet took full advantage of the opportunities to break away. This helped the male student from the Gifted School widen the gap in scores with the three other players. Specifically, Minh Triet had 210 points, Minh Quyet 105 points, Duy Manh 100 points, Trong Nghia 65 points.
Entering the decisive round - Finish, Minh Triet chose three questions with the same value of 20 - 20 - 20 points. In the first two questions, the male student did not answer correctly, Minh Quyet also pressed the bell twice to answer but unfortunately lost points. In the third practice question, Minh Triet answered correctly at a very fast speed, his current score is 230 points.
Duy Manh chose 20 - 30 - 20 points. Minh Quyet continued to press the bell to win 20 points after Duy Manh did not give the correct answer to the first question. Thanks to the hopeful star in the last question, Duy Manh excellently answered correctly and won 120 points.
Minh Quyet chose the 20 - 20 - 30 point question package. Minh Quyet answered the first question incorrectly but then the male student regained his form with 20 points in the second question. In the last English question, Minh Quyet missed the opportunity to score points and ended up with 125 points.
Trong Nghia chose 3 questions worth 30 points. The male student answered the questions very humorously and received applause from the audience. For the second question, Minh Triet pressed the bell to win another 30 points from Trong Nghia. For the last question, the male student used the star of hope but unfortunately still did not give the correct answer.
