Last night (April 30), the organizers of the program Dreamy Cities officially announced the appearance of Thang (former member of the band Ngọt) in the program. Accordingly, the male artist will be absent from the show held in Hanoi this coming July.

Specifically, this announcement said: "After listening to residents' feedback and careful discussion, the Organizing Committee has decided that not having artist Thang in the artist lineup of this event is the best option at the present time.

Even without the presence of artist Thang, Dreamy Cities will still bring you an impressive and colorful event with a diverse and rich cast of artists. Information about other artists will be announced in the near future, so we hope you will continue to look forward to it and follow it."

Besides the show Dreamy Cities, Sap Show - a program held in Ho Chi Minh City in early May also announced that it had decided to stop cooperating with Thang (Ngot). The organizers said that they decided to refund 60% of the ticket price to the audience who decided not to continue accompanying the program, despite the previous rule: "After purchase, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded except in the case of event cancellation or postponement".

Currently, the largest fan group of the band Ngọt with more than 85 thousand members, formerly called "This Group is all Ngọt's Candy", has changed its name to "This Group used to be Candy". Many Facebook pages that were created to support the band Ngọt have also announced their suspension or posted articles expressing great disappointment with member Thắng. "After everything that happened, we will temporarily stop and find another direction for the page. Hope everyone stays strong and gets through this soon" - a Fanpage of Thắng posted an article.

Previously, on March 19, the band Ngọt suddenly announced their disbandment, canceling all signed shows. When Dan Viet contacted them for an interview, the members all refused to share about this incident.

After a period of noise, member Thang (Ngọt) posted a post: "I also want to perform the promised shows but my mental health is really not guaranteed. I will perform for everyone after I recover." However, recently, he once again caused a stir when posting a series of confusing statuses, including a post asking for money from fans. The post by a rapper, believed to be aimed at Vu Dinh Trong Thang, further affected his image.

Ngọt is a pop rock band founded in 2013, consisting of 4 members: Vu Dinh Trong Thang (vocals, guitar), Phan Viet Hoang (bass guitar), Nguyen Hung Nam Anh (drums) and Hoang Chi Trung (keyboards). The band soon created a buzz in the underground music community nationwide and through many recordings on social networks, gradually becoming one of the most prominent artists in the indie music genre in Vietnam.
