The program Dreamy Cities Summer Hanoi is scheduled to take place next July in Hanoi, making up for the event on April 20 that had to be postponed due to heavy rain.
Show Booth 4 is scheduled to take place on May 11 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Previously, both events confirmed the participation of Vu Dinh Trong Thang (band Ngọt) - also known as Thang Ngọt - in the program.
In the announcement on the evening of April 30, the organizers of Dreamy Cities thanked the audience for their interest and shared opinions about artist Thang's participation in the event taking place in July in Hanoi.
"After listening to residents' feedback and careful discussion, the organizing committee has decided that not having artist Thang in the line-up of this event is the best option at the moment," the announcement said.
With this decision, the organizers hope the audience will "understand and sympathize".
The organizers continued to inform, "Even without the presence of artist Thang, Dreamy Cities will still bring you an impressive, colorful event with a diverse and rich cast of artists."
Specifically, the list of artists includes Obito, Low G, Grey D, Chillies, The Cassette and many others.
As for Show Booth 4 , the organizers announced that "after discussing and working directly with Thang's representative, due to personal reasons from the artist, the organizers and Thang decided to stop cooperating and performing on the music night on May 11".
At the same time, the organizers will refund 60% of the ticket price to audiences who decide not to continue accompanying the show.
In recent days, Thang Ngọt has been a popular search keyword on social networks after confusing statuses posted late on April 27 and early morning on April 28 on Thang Vu's Facebook page - this artist's personal account, which included mention of banned substances.
At the peak, artist Bi Tro of the band Cat Lun spoke up to accuse Thang Ngọt of living a bad life with his brothers, friends, wife and children on the evening of April 29, causing Thang's image to "hit rock bottom".
The fan club with nearly 100,000 members of the band Ngọt also changed its name and stopped operating after the artist's scandal. Many viewers announced that they "quit being fans".
Thang's personal Facebook has been temporarily locked. Since the uproar, Thang has not responded to any information related to the incident.
