(Fatherland) - From December 1, 2024 to January 1, 2025, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism , December activities will take place with the theme "Highland Market - Welcome New Year 2025" to introduce early spring culture with rituals, festivals, customs and practices, thereby helping visitors better understand the traditional and unique cultural features of ethnic groups...


The activity involved more than 100 people from 16 ethnic groups (Nung, Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer) with the participation of 11 localities where people are active every day (Thai Nguyen, Hanoi , Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Son La, Thua Thien Hue, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Soc Trang). Mobilizing about 65 more ethnic groups, including 25 Mong people from Dien Bien province from December 28 and 29, 2024; 20 Mong, Dao people; 20 Thai people from Thanh Hoa province from December 31, 2024 to January 1, 2025.

With the highlight "Highland Market - Welcome New Year 2025", the market space scene is a combination of the joyful atmosphere of going to the market, dancing with the panpipes, pounding rice cakes with Mong ethnic boys and girls; folk songs, folk dances, folk games (pushing sticks, tug of war, throwing balls...), ethnic cuisine, local products, traditional crafts with the colors of the Mong, Dao, Thai ethnic groups (Thanh Hoa) and the Northern ethnic groups operating daily in the Village...; Introducing and performing the Panpipe dance of the Mong ethnic group, Thanh Hoa province; Introducing and performing the traditional crafts of the highland ethnic groups; The folk song and dance program "Colors of the market" of the ethnic communities in the Northern highland market space; Reenacting the "New Rice Celebration" Ceremony of the Thai ethnic group, Thanh Hoa province; Reenacting an excerpt of the Good Luck Festival of the Mong, Dao, Thai ethnic groups in Thanh Hoa province.
