The A Luoi District Ethnic Traditional Cultural Village is built in the Sim Conservation Area in Hong Thuong Commune, A Luoi District (Thua Thien Hue Province). The project is funded by the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, with Phase 1 from 2021-2025.

From May 2023, phase 1 of the project started construction on an area of ​​more than 5 hectares with a total investment of nearly 21 billion VND.

In phase 1, the project is invested with works and items including: Community activity block; Traditional activity house of Pa Co, Ta Oi, Co Tu ethnic groups; traffic roads...

In addition, there are auxiliary items such as: garden, electricity, water, green landscape...

The uniquely designed items are imbued with the cultural identity of the Pa Co, Ta Oi, Co Tu ethnic minorities in A Luoi district.

The vast and majestic scenery of A Luoi mountains and forests when viewed from the district's Ethnic Minority Cultural Village.

The patterns in traditional houses of ethnic groups are designed in detail and meticulously.

After more than a year of construction, in early September 2024, A Luoi district solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the A Luoi District Traditional Cultural Village of Ethnic Minorities (phase 1).

The construction and operation of the Traditional Cultural Village of Ethnic Minorities in A Luoi district has met the people's desire for a "common home" to preserve, maintain and promote the traditional cultural identity of the ethnic groups living in the area.

In addition, this is also a bridge connecting the community, developing traditional festivals, meeting the cultural exchange needs of the people. Creating another tourist destination contributes to the sustainable socio-economic development of the mountainous district of A Luoi.

According to the People's Committee of A Luoi district, the district is currently developing a detailed planning project for a cultural village with a scale of 30 hectares, with items to continue to be built such as traditional houses of ethnic groups, a central square, a craft village area, an ethnographic museum, a tomb area, rice fields, recreating the life cycle of humans, of rice plants, recreating traditional occupations, folk songs, etc.

To make the products truly unique and attractive, A Luoi district has assigned communes and towns to directly survey, build and recreate the ancient cultural space of ethnic groups in each area. At the same time, it has coordinated with village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people to pass on valuable documents to build the Cultural Village of Ethnic Minorities in A Luoi district. This promises to be an attractive destination for tourists in the near future when visiting the western region of Thua Thien Hue province.
