Tennis player Ly Hoang Nam must treat stomach disease

Today, coach Tran Quoc Phong said that after returning from Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Ly Hoang Nam was taken to Ho Chi Minh City for a gastric endoscopy. The doctor concluded that Vietnam's number 1 tennis player had reflux esophagitis and severe gastric mucosal congestion.

Ly Hoang Nam will have to rest for at least 1 week to treat stomach disease.

"With such an illness, Ly Hoang Nam will have to focus on treatment for about 7 to 10 days and then go back for a check-up. Hoang Nam's upcoming training and competitions will also have to change. We will wait until he is cured to continue," said coach Tran Quoc Phong.

Remember before the men's singles final match of the 32nd SEA Games against Fitriadi (Indonesia), despite being tormented by stomach pain and having a high fever, Ly Hoang Nam still decided to play. He lost to his opponent and could not defend the gold medal he had won two consecutive times before.
