Vietnamese badminton player won silver medal at Asian youth tournament

Although only 13 years old (born in 2011), Thu Huyen competed in the 15-year-old age group. In the final match this morning (August 25), Thu Huyen met Tanvi Patri (India).

In the first set of the final, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen lost by a close margin 20-22. In the second set, despite her best efforts, the Vietnamese badminton player lost 11-21.

In the end, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen lost 0-2 (20-22, 11-21) and won the silver medal. Although she only won the silver medal, this is a remarkable achievement for Thu Huyen in particular and Vietnamese badminton in general.

Another notable point is that Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen plays for the Dong Nai badminton team with her senior Nguyen Thuy Linh.

Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen and Nguyen Thuy Linh together helped Dong Nai team win the women's team championship in the national badminton tournament. Thu Huyen has also been called up to the national badminton team.
