On October 22, the Department of Tourism of Quang Ninh coordinated with the People's Committee of Binh Lieu district to organize a training program to educate, foster and raise awareness of ecotourism and community tourism in 2024 for 150 delegates who are officials, civil servants in state management of tourism in the locality, cultural officials of communes, towns, specialized departments; communities that are participating and want to participate in developing community tourism associated with developing rural tourism in the district.
At the training session, trainees were trained, disseminated and propagated on the following contents: Community tourism development, current status and implementation experience; National standard TCVN 13259:2020 community tourism - requirements on service quality; set of criteria guiding environmental protection for tourism and service establishments in tourist areas and destinations.
At the same time, the lecturers will guide students to perform some basic skills and operations in building a plan to develop an ecotourism and community model; survey and practice implementing a community ecotourism model in Dong Van commune; practice welcoming guests, cultural exchange and local cuisine in Dong Van commune.
Through the training program, the local government and community will be equipped with knowledge to participate in community ecotourism activities in the district, build and effectively implement community tourism models, contributing to introducing and promoting the image and local culture to attract tourists to visit and travel in the locality.
