On this occasion, more than 300 elderly people and people in difficult circumstances were screened. Of these, 200 people were supported with free eye surgery and treatment. After surgery, the patients were instructed by the hospital's doctors on daily eye care as well as given eye medication and 1 pair of goggles. KIDO also gave a small gift to the patients when they left.

The program "Free eye surgery to bring light to poor patients" initiated and implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Supporting Poor Patients is one of the key programs that KIDO Group has been interested in and accompanied for over the past 2 decades. As of 2023, KIDO has contributed to the Association to help more than 710,000 poor patients regain light and new hope in life.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Lieu, Deputy General Director of KIDO Group, said: "Over two decades of joining hands to connect dreams, accompanying the charity activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of Poor Patients, KIDO wishes to bring light and faith to many difficult lives, creating conditions for poor people with eye diseases to receive timely treatment, helping people have more determination to overcome adversity."
