From the perspective of a state management agency, we affirm and believe that Vietnam has, is, and will have many opportunities to participate more deeply in the global supply logistics value chain. In particular, with the current transportation system that has been spread widely across all regions of the country, including all 5 transportation systems (railway, road, air, inland waterway, sea). Logistics infrastructure including warehouses and logistics centers is constantly expanding in scale. The accompanying services of logistics enterprises today have been and are adapting very promptly and meeting the increasing demands of the market.
From the Government's perspective, in the 2022-2024 period, hundreds of thousands of billions of VND from the socio-economic recovery and development program have been invested in important and key projects, and a significant portion of this has been put into the transport infrastructure system. This is the lifeblood of the economy as well as the lifeblood of the logistics service industry.
In addition, Vietnam has many potentials and advantages in developing logistics services such as: Being strategically located in a dynamically developing region of the world, having an economy on the rise, deeply integrating internationally, being the eighth emerging market with large consumption, e-commerce with a strong development trend, being the new production center of the Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, Vietnam has many favorable factors that can create momentum for the development of the logistics sector, in which, the Vietnamese logistics service industry will be an extremely strategic factor to boost economic growth in general, promoting import and export activities in particular.
At the same time, the explosion of e-commerce will be the driving force for the development of the logistics service industry. Especially e-commerce logistics.
Accordingly, Vietnam is ranked among the top 10 countries with the fastest e-commerce growth in the world. The development of e-commerce has created changes in the logistics industry in providing services to meet the increasing demands of the market.
From a state management perspective, we will work with associations and businesses to help Vietnam participate more deeply and widely in the global supply value chain in this new context.
One of the tasks set out in the Project on Restructuring the Industry and Trade Sector in the field of import and export is to focus on facilitating and reducing trade costs through the synchronous and effective development of trade infrastructure systems.
