Sustainable business, outstanding revenue

To be ranked in this list, companies listed on HSX and HNX have undergone a rigorous evaluation process by Forbes Vietnam. In the preliminary round, companies need to meet the following conditions: making a profit in 2023 and achieving a minimum revenue and capitalization of VND500 billion. Next, companies are scored based on 5 criteria: compound growth rate of revenue, profit, ROE, ROC and EPS growth in the period 2019 - 2023. Sabeco has successfully passed all of these criteria, demonstrating its management ability and strategic vision.

Sabeco has maintained stable growth over many years. In 2023, the company recorded impressive revenue - 30,461.37 billion VND, profit after tax reached 4,117 billion VND.

In 2024, Sabeco continues to set higher targets with a revenue plan of VND 34,397 billion, up 12.9% over the same period, and an expected profit after tax of VND 4,580 billion, up 7.6% over 2023. Business results in the first two quarters of 2024 show that Sabeco is on the right track with first quarter revenue increasing by 15.6% to VND 7,183.5 billion and profit after tax increasing by 2% to VND 1,023.7 billion. In the second quarter of 2024, revenue reached VND 8,086.3 billion and profit after tax increased by 9% to VND 1,318.9 billion. Of which, gross profit margin improved from 29.9% to 30.2%.

One of Sabeco's strategic moves in 2024 is the launch of the new 333 Pilsner product line on August 6, 2024. This is a lighter and smoother version of the legendary 333 brand, developed by Vietnamese brewers, combined with advanced technology from Europe and high-quality imported ingredients. The launch of 333 Pilsner is not only a step forward in diversifying Sabeco's products but also demonstrates the company's commitment to constantly innovating and improving quality to meet the increasing needs of Vietnamese consumers.

At the 2024 World Beer Awards, all four of Sabeco's Lager Beer products achieved high rankings. Specifically, Lac Viet Beer won the gold award and was honored as "The World's Best Light Lager" in the 2.6 - 4.5% alcohol category. Saigon Export Beer received the gold award. Saigon Export Premium and Saigon Special Beer won the silver award. These achievements are not only a testament to the Sabeco team's superior brewing techniques but also demonstrate the growing influence of Vietnamese beer brands in the international market.

In addition to product development, Sabeco also made new progress in implementing its sustainable development strategy. On August 13, 2024, the company officially became a member of the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance (PRO Vietnam) to fulfill its EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) obligations under Articles 54 and 55 of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 and contribute to the country's green growth goals.

Kantar's Vietnam Brand Footprint 2024 report also recorded Saigon Beer brand as the Top 2 most purchased beverage brand in rural areas of Vietnam in 2023. This is the 7th year Sabeco has been listed in the top 5 of this ranking. Saigon Beer has also made great strides in the urban market, rising 9 places to enter the top 10 most purchased brands in the beverage industry in major cities, with an impressive growth of 57.5% in the number of purchase occasions and 30.4% in the percentage of households purchasing.
