In 2023, in the context of many difficulties both globally and domestically, with the consensus and efforts of the entire political system, Ha Tinh has achieved many achievements, the political and social situation is stable, national defense and security are maintained, the economy gradually recovers and develops, and people's lives are constantly improved. The "telling" figures from the report of the Provincial People's Committee show that the total budget revenue in 2023 of the whole province is estimated at 17,422 billion VND; the total investment capital implemented in the whole society is estimated at 50,200 billion VND. The movement to build new rural areas continues to achieve many results. By the end of 2023, it is expected that the whole province will have 100% of new rural communes, of which 70 communes will achieve advanced new rural areas, 13 model new rural communes, and 10/13 localities will meet the standards/complete the task of building new rural areas. In addition, the province has also approved investment policies for 18 domestic projects, with a total registered capital of thousands of billions of VND.
Along with the recovery and growth of the economy, in 2023, Ha Tinh successfully organized many political, cultural, and sports events... to arouse and spread traditional homeland values, enriching the spiritual life of each citizen. Those victories are the crystallization of the efforts of the entire political system, the business community, and the tireless creative labor of the entire population, bringing joy and pride at the end of the old year. These days, at every construction site, factory, and office, the working atmosphere is becoming more and more bustling. At the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ha Tinh Branch, after a year of active operation, the collective of leaders and employees of the unit's branches are busy with the year-end settlement work in an excited mood.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Sam - Deputy Director of Agribank Ha Tinh Branch said: “In 2023, we launched many emulation movements, striving to excellently complete targets and tasks. Up to now, the total capital mobilized by Agribank Ha Tinh Branch has reached VND 21,323 billion, an increase of VND 2,206 billion compared to 2022; outstanding loans reached VND 13,458 billion, an increase of VND 1,313 billion compared to the same period last year... We are encouraging all staff to maximize their working capacity to focus on completing the year-end settlement work; striving to achieve emulation titles of Agribank as well as the State Bank of Vietnam".

Along with enterprises, many localities are focusing on completing plans and tasks. Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Secretary of the Party Committee of Viet Tien Commune (Thach Ha) said: “Unlike previous years, at this time, we are carrying out two key tasks, which are implementing the 2024 spring crop production plan and completing the handover of the site to prepare for the start of the Bac Thach Ha Industrial Park infrastructure investment and business project invested by the Vietnam - Singapore Urban and Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company (VSIP). We have worked with the people to count the land area in the project to publicly price and collect opinions. At the same time, the commune has also actively directed the villages to prepare seeds and necessary conditions to deploy spring crop production, ensuring timely harvest. Despite the busy work, the collective of cadres and people of Viet Tien are very excited about the progress of their homeland”.

On the last day of the year, farmers are also busy in the fields, dredging irrigation canals, plowing and preparing the land to sow spring rice or taking care of flower gardens, ornamental plants... to prepare for Tet. Ms. Le Thi Hien (Quan Nam village, Hong Loc commune, Loc Ha) expressed: "The weather in the last days of the year is quite favorable for growing flowers for Tet. We are working hard to have a bumper crop."

Along with the atmosphere of labor competition in production at each construction site, factory, and field, these days, people in each rural area of Ha Tinh also joyfully welcome Christmas and welcome the New Year with many hopes for the future. In many localities, where Catholics live, the Christmas atmosphere has also filled every parish road. At this time, the decoration of churches and Bethlehem caves to celebrate Christmas in many parishes has been completed, attracting many people to visit such as in the parishes: Van Hanh (Thach Trung commune), An Nhien (Thach Ha, Ha Tinh city), Trung Nghia (Loc Ha town)...
Mr. Luong Nguyen (Nguyen Du Ward, Ha Tinh City) said: “Although I am not a religious person, every Christmas, I always visit parish churches. Going out to celebrate Christmas with family and friends brings a lot of joy every Christmas.”

In addition to parish churches, many localities, schools, tourist areas and spots across the province have also planned to organize cultural, artistic and sports programs and activities, renovate facilities to welcome guests, and welcome the new year... This year, for the first time, Ha Tinh City will organize the Countdown program - "Ha Tinh welcomes the new year 2024". According to the plan, the program will start from 10:00 p.m. on December 31, 2023 to 0:30 a.m. on January 1, 2024, at Thanh Sen Square with many exciting activities such as: Special art program, high-altitude fireworks display... In particular, the art program is expected to have the participation of many famous singers nationwide such as: Dan Truong, Ho Quynh Huong, Erik, Minh Quan, Ngoc Anh, Ha Le, Bui Le Man, Dinh Thanh Le, Thanh Tai...
In addition to entertainment programs, all levels, sectors and localities also plan to organize many meaningful programs. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee will organize the program "Warm Spring - Loving Tet" in 2024, calling on philanthropists, businesses, units... to join hands to support the poor and those in difficult circumstances throughout the province. The program will be broadcast live on Ha Tinh Radio and Television on the evening of December 27.
