Strengthening cooperative economic connections with other economic sectors

On March 28, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) announced the contents and activities of the Action Month for Cooperatives in 2024.

Mr. Pham Minh Dien - Head of the Planning and Support Department of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance said: The Action Month for Cooperatives in 2024 takes the theme "For the sustainable development of cooperatives" with the message: Cooperatives respond to climate change, develop the socio-economy; Cooperatives cooperate and link production according to value chains associated with key national, regional and local products; innovate, cooperate, develop and improve the operational efficiency of cooperatives... including activities such as: Building and developing the Cooperative Alliance organization; consolidating and improving the operational efficiency of cooperatives and developing members; activities to support cooperatives...

Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van - President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance said that cooperatives are a necessary type for economic development, not just a criterion for building new rural areas, therefore, wherever there is production, there is a need for cooperatives.

Currently, Vietnam has agricultural, non-agricultural, and storage cooperatives... all closely related to sectors serving people's living needs such as healthcare, education, tourism, environment... In order to develop cooperatives to promote their potential and strengths, it is necessary to have synchronous coordination from the central to local levels; widely spread development messages, improve the operational efficiency of cooperatives to the community.

The Month of Action for Cooperatives 2024 will officially launch tomorrow (March 29) in Ninh Binh.

The peak time of the Action Month for Cooperatives takes place from March 29 to April 29, 2024 with a series of activities such as: The first National Cooperative Forum in 2024 with the theme "Sustainable development of product value chains"; Ceremony to honor typical cooperatives and award the Vietnam Cooperative Star Award 2024 "CoopStar Awards 2024"; Conference to launch the project "Youth in cooperatives implementing digital transformation in the community" funded by the EU...
