Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 663/UBND-VP5 dated August 27, 2024 on strengthening security and order, environmental sanitation, and food safety at tourist areas and spots during the National Day holiday on September 2, 2024.
Specifically: The 4-day National Day holiday on September 2, 2024 is an opportunity to promote and attract tourists, while also putting pressure on the service work of the tourism industry. To ensure safe and thoughtful service for tourists, the Provincial People's Committee assigned agencies, units and localities to perform well the following tasks:
The Department of Tourism and the People's Committees of districts and cities, according to their functions and tasks, shall direct the Management Boards of tourist areas and destinations, and tourism businesses to strictly implement regulations on ensuring security, order, hygiene, environment, and food safety; have plans to serve thoughtfully and safely, especially large groups of tourists from new and potential markets (such as groups of tourists from India, with an expected number of about 4,500 tourists arriving in late August 2024). Strengthen inspection, supervision, and strictly handle violations in ensuring security, order, hygiene, environment, and food safety; request the Management Boards of tourist areas and destinations to arrange leaders and staff on duty, guide, and support tourists. Propagate for leaders, tourism staff, and tourists to comply with the Code of Conduct for civilized tourism.
In addition, strengthen inspection, supervision, timely detection and strict handling of violations of the law in the tourism sector according to authority; prevent the situation of not posting prices and not selling at the listed price, illegal tourism and travel business, fraud, profiteering, soliciting and pressuring tourists during peak seasons. Monitor tourism stimulus and promotion programs.
Directing customer support stations and hotlines to operate continuously, effectively, and promptly provide information and resolve complaints or feedback to competent authorities of tourists.
The People's Committees of districts and cities direct the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns with tourist areas and spots to focus on improving the landscape, clearing obstacles on traffic routes, clearing illegal parking areas and shops; have plans to handle and immediately clean up garbage dumps along the roads leading to and in tourist areas and spots to ensure the environment and civilized tourism.
Regularly inspect, urge, evaluate and promptly handle arising issues within authority; in cases beyond authority, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Transport and relevant units to take measures to ensure security and social order at tourist areas and spots; ensure traffic safety in transporting passengers by car and inland waterway vehicles; ensure fire prevention and fighting safety at tourist businesses; promptly inspect, detect, prevent and strictly handle acts that cause unsafety and insecurity for tourists.
The Market Management Department shall strengthen inspections at tourist areas, attractions and tourist businesses; promptly detect and handle cases of trading in counterfeit and poor-quality goods, taking advantage of peak tourist seasons to sell counterfeit and poor-quality goods or raise prices excessively, etc.
The Department of Health strengthens food safety assurance, guides hotels, restaurants, and food service establishments to ensure food hygiene and safety; inspects and supervises compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations for food service establishments and restaurants in tourist areas and spots in the province.
Relevant agencies and units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, coordinate to organize the implementation of tasks, ensure security, safety and effectiveness of tourism activities, contributing to enhancing the brand of tourist destinations for Ninh Binh province.
