To limit damage to production and people's lives, the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested provincial departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and related units. Closely monitor weather developments and forecasts, saltwater intrusion; grasp information about water resources to update plans and strategies to prevent and combat heat, drought, water shortages, and saltwater intrusion appropriately.
In case of water shortage, priority must be given to providing enough water for daily life, irrigation of perennial crops of high economic value and other essential needs. Organize a review and identify areas at risk of domestic water shortage to proactively find solutions to ensure domestic water supply for people, not to let people lack water.
Provincial departments, branches, sectors and other relevant units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, proactively deploy appropriate and effective response measures to minimize damage caused by heat, drought, water shortage and saltwater intrusion.
