(GLO)- On July 28, the Red Cross Society of Phu Thien district (Gia Lai province) coordinated with Buu Thang pagoda (Phu Thien town), Huong Thien pagoda and Bao Tang pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City) and local authorities to give gifts to the poor, the disabled, leprosy patients, ethnic minorities and disadvantaged students in the locality.

Accordingly, the delegation presented 300 gifts (VND 500,000/gift) to 300 poor ethnic minority households, households with leprosy patients, and people with disabilities (including 200 households in Ia Ake commune and 100 households in Ayun Ha commune), each gift included: 10 kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles and some other necessities along with VND 200,000 in cash. In addition, the delegation also presented 200 gifts (worth VND 350,000/gift) to 200 poor and disadvantaged students of Nay Der Primary Boarding School (Chu A Thai commune).

The total value of the charity program is 220 million VND, sponsored by Buddhists of Buu Thang Pagoda, Huong Thien Pagoda and Bao Tang Pagoda, mobilizing donors in Ho Chi Minh City.
