New 8X Associate Professor 'won' the Outstanding Young Citizen Award of Ho Chi Minh City

(Dan Tri) - Having just been recognized as Associate Professor 2023 not long ago, Dr. Le Thanh Long, from Quang Ngai, continues to receive the Outstanding Young Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City 2023 award.
Among the 14 outstanding young citizens of Ho Chi Minh City 2023 who have just been honored, the person with the highest academic title is Associate Professor, Dr. Le Thanh Long. Dr. Le Thanh Long was born in 1988, from Tinh Tho commune, Son Tinh district, Quang Ngai province.

He was just recognized as Associate Professor a few weeks ago and is one of the young Associate Professors of the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City). Dr. Long was awarded a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 2011 from the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City). In 2016, when he was only 28 years old, he received a doctorate from the National Central University of Taiwan. In 2022, Dr. Le Thanh Long received the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award, won the title of Outstanding Youth of Ho Chi Minh City, won the title of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings for the 7th time nationwide. Up to now, Dr. Long has had 35 scientific articles published in scientific journals, participated in prestigious international scientific conferences; 16 scientific articles have been published in domestic scientific journals, chaired a national-level topic (Nafostes) and chaired a topic at the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, a topic at the National University; 2 grassroots-level topics have been accepted and met the requirements... In 2022-2023, Dr. Long has 5 grassroots-level initiatives recognized; successfully accepted a scientific research topic at the level of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology with the product being the Negative Pressure Room. This product has practical significance in joining hands to prevent and fight epidemics, protect health and raise public awareness. The two main research directions of Associate Professor Dr. Le Thanh Long are research on computational fluid dynamics; research on design, manufacture and control of mechanical devices. He and his research team also proposed other effective initiatives such as the Multi-purpose Disinfectant Spray Chamber, the Polytechnic IoT Check-in System... Every year, Dr. Le Thanh Long guides an average of 6-8 students to do their graduation theses and successfully guides 4 graduate students who have received their master's degrees. To date, Thanh Long has guided students to do 25 graduation theses and 4 master's theses for graduate students. In addition to his role as a lecturer, Mr. Long also takes on the role of Chairman of the Startup and Innovation Club of the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of District 10 for the 2019-2024 term.
