Due to a previous conflict, on the night of August 25 and early morning of August 26, two groups of young men residing in communes and wards of Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province, made an appointment to go to the cemetery area of Tan Khanh 2 village, Ninh Sim commune to resolve the matter. Here, the subjects used many types of weapons such as machetes, pig-slaughtering knives, etc., to fight each other. The fight resulted in the death of V.D.D, born in 2007, residing in Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province, on the spot.
