11 teenagers charged with carrying weapons and fighting at night

On October 26, Hai Chau District Police, Da Nang, announced that they had just prosecuted 11 defendants for investigating and handling the act of disturbing public order.

Previously, on the evening of August 17, a group of teenagers aged 14 to 19 (residing in Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province) were speeding and weaving on motorbikes on major streets in Hai Chau and Thanh Khe districts. At the same time, Le Phu Phuoc’s group (16 years old, residing in Hai Chau District) was riding a motorbike to Tran Thi Ly Bridge when they were chased and threatened to be beaten by a group of teenagers, so they ran away.

The incident was then reported by Phuoc's group to two other groups of teenagers they had previously known and asked for help in taking revenge.

At dawn on August 18, Phuoc's group gathered in the area of ​​2/9 Street and then brought weapons to ride motorbikes on the streets to find opponents. They encountered another group of teenagers also carrying weapons, swerving and screaming on motorbikes on the street.

Thinking that this was the previous group that had chased and threatened to beat them, Phuoc's group simultaneously accelerated and chased after them, forcing their motorbikes to the side of the road, causing some teenagers to fall and get injured.

After causing the incident, Phuoc's group drove away from the scene.

During the investigation, Hai Chau District Police decided to prosecute 11 subjects and arrest Le Phu Phuoc for "Disturbing public order".

Previously, on the afternoon of October 24, the Investigation Police Agency of Lien Chieu District Police, Da Nang City issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute 20 defendants, of which 15 were temporarily detained to continue investigating and handling the act of disturbing public order.

The defendants include: Nguyen Dinh Chien, Truong Thanh Toan, Nguyen Quang Dai (all residing in Lien Chieu district), Tran Ngoc Phuoc Sang, Phan Anh Phu, Nguyen Van Hau (all residing in Hoa Vang), Tran Phuoc Loc, Nguyen Hoang Nam, Duong Thanh Long, Phan Tien Hung (all residing in Da Nang city) and Vo Quoc Cuong, Tran Xuan Hau, Phan Duy Quan, Tran Phuoc Hoang, Nguyen Ngoc Trung, Bach Truong Thanh Nhan, Nguyen Duy Sinh, Lam Thanh Dat, Le Anh Kiet, Nguyen Thanh Phuoc (all residing in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam).
