At the meeting, Mr. Kozuki Ryosuki, Deputy Minister of METI of Japan, shared Japan's experience in developing these industries, considering the semiconductor industry as important as the automobile industry. Japan is focusing on mobilizing resources and supporting businesses to develop key technologies such as semiconductors and AI. However, Japan is also facing some difficulties such as ensuring human resources for the above industries.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung shared about the development of Vietnam's major policies and strategies on the development of the ICT and semiconductor industries, focusing on accelerating the training and development of semiconductor human resources. Currently, many Vietnamese digital technology enterprises have invested in business, providing services and technology solutions to partners in Japan.

Regarding digital infrastructure development, the two sides discussed and agreed to strengthen cooperation in developing 5G Open-RAN equipment, supporting businesses of the two countries to soon deploy projects to jointly research and develop products to supply the markets of the two countries and around the world.

Along with the strong development of the cooperative relationship between the two countries, especially after upgrading the relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2023, the two sides agreed to promote new cooperation programs and initiatives at many different levels, together unlocking potentials, bringing the Vietnam - Japan cooperative relationship in the field of ICT and semiconductor industry to a new height.
