On July 1, drivers and ticket sellers of the subsidized bus system in Da Nang operated by Quang An 1 Industrial Joint Stock Company went on strike again because the company was late in paying their salaries.
This is the second time in nearly a month that the company's truck drivers have gone on strike. Previously, in early June, more than 100 workers here went on strike because of long-standing unpaid wages and insurance.

Mr. NVD, representative of the driver team of Quang An 1 Joint Stock Company, said that last month, when the workers went on strike, the company paid February's salary and promised to pay March's salary at the end of June.
However, the company still had not received the March salary payment, so the workers decided to go on strike.
According to Mr. D., after the strike, the company also announced that they would pay salaries on July 6-7, and if they did not receive salaries on time as announced by the company, the drivers would continue to strike.

"I have already written a resignation letter. I am so tired of having to strike every month to demand salary," NVD complained, adding that the company currently owes employees salaries for March, April, and May.
To clarify the above issue, the reporter contacted the manager of Quang An Joint Stock Company in Da Nang but still received no response.
It is known that Da Nang's subsidized bus system was put into operation in 2016. The entire city has 11 bus routes belonging to the B40 bus network operating under the form of subsidized bidding, operated by Quang An 1 Industrial Joint Stock Company.
For many years, unpaid wages and social insurance have always been a "talking" issue for workers here.
In the list of debts owed by Da Nang Social Insurance, Quang An 1 Joint Stock Company has always been at the bottom for many years in terms of social insurance debt; there is no goodwill to fix and pay.
As of May 31, the amount of debt for Social Insurance, Health Insurance and other types of insurance of Branch II - Quang An 1 Industrial Joint Stock Company in Da Nang is more than 8.3 billion VND.
