Erling Haaland was shut out by Arsenal's defence in the 0-0 draw with Man City at the Etihad Stadium. The Norwegian's biggest mark was a missed shot from three yards out after Josko Gvardiol had headed past the visitors' defence.
Erling Haaland's disappointing performance has led to harsh criticism from legend Roy Keane. The former MU player believes that the Man City striker needs to improve himself to become a more complete striker.
“Haaland played very poorly in this match. He played almost like a player in League Two” – Roy Keane commented on Sky Sports channel.
Roy Keane analyzed: “Haaland is one of the best goalscorers in the world, but he lacks the all-round game. He needs to improve and has a lot of work to do.”
Sharing the same opinion with Roy Keane, former Man City defender Micah Richards commented: “Today, Man City lacked efficiency in the final third of the field. Haaland made a lot of runs, but could not connect with his teammates. Haaland was neutralized by Saliba and Gabriel.”
With this 0-0 draw, Man City and Arsenal are both at a disadvantage in the Premier League title race. Liverpool took the lead in the rankings with 67 points, 2 points more than Arsenal and 3 points more than Man City.
