The victory of April 30, 1975, will forever be etched in the history of the Vietnamese nation, affirming the great stature and historical significance of the resistance war against American aggression. To achieve this great victory, our nation endured arduous and sacrificial struggles, inheriting and developing to a new level the patriotic tradition and indomitable will of the Vietnamese people and culture; at the same time, this victory is the pinnacle of the aspiration for independence, freedom, and national unity of an entire heroic nation. It is a victory of Vietnamese culture, built upon the cultures of 54 ethnic groups across our country over thousands of years of history, forged in the long struggle to transform nature and fight foreign invaders, rising to assert itself. It is a culture rooted in love for nature, humanity, the country, independence, freedom, and peace ; in compassion, respect for justice, hatred of evil; imbued with lofty humanism and revolutionary heroism; and in its ability to absorb the best of many world cultures. This culture has been nurtured and developed to new heights, building and evolving into an advanced culture rich in national identity. This is the great strength of the Vietnamese will and intellect, of the Vietnamese character and personality, and of the Vietnamese civilization.

The strength of the people is the wings that allow the nation to fly (Figure 2).

The outstanding achievements of the country after more than 35 years of reform, "Our country has never had such potential, position, and international prestige as it does today," began with the consciousness of each Vietnamese citizen nurturing the aspiration for peace and national independence and working together to realize that aspiration. It is the product of the culmination of creativity, the result of a continuous and persistent effort over many terms by the entire Party, people, and army under the brilliant and wise leadership of our Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh . This further affirms that our path to socialism is correct, in accordance with objective laws, the realities of Vietnam, and the development trends of the times, and is also the path to realizing Vietnam's aspirations. Therefore, there is no challenge that cannot be overcome; there is no task that cannot be accomplished.

The strength of the people is the wings that allow the nation to fly (Figure 3).

Building upon the revolutionary heroism demonstrated during the resistance war against the US, our Party has led the entire Vietnamese nation to steadfastly advance on the path to socialism. Patriotism and revolutionary heroism are manifested in all areas, such as: protecting the Party's ideological foundation, safeguarding revolutionary achievements, protecting the territorial integrity and political security of the Fatherland, engaging in labor and production, research and study, utilizing the achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, selflessly saving people during natural disasters, calamities, and epidemics, fostering national unity, mutual support, and preserving and promoting national cultural identity. Our Party has led the people to overcome all difficulties and challenges, refusing to fall behind, gradually catching up with the times, and bringing the country to rapid and sustainable development, achieving a worthy position in the world. This aspiration of the nation is as sacred and powerful as the will to achieve independence and national reunification.

Building on the victory of April 30th, we also uphold the principle of combining national strength with the strength of the times in the current cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The anti-corruption campaign launched by the Party and its steadfast leadership have placed the highest political determination in this life-or-death battle to protect the regime and maintain the people's trust.

Over the past 10 years, since the transformation of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption from a government-led body headed by the Prime Minister to a steering committee directly under the Politburo, headed by the General Secretary, the people have witnessed a "new face" in the effort to purify the Party and its ranks.

The strength of the people is the wings that allow the nation to fly (Figure 4).

Once the furnace is hot, even fresh wood will burn. Dry wood and moderately dry wood will burn first, then the whole furnace will heat up…” This vivid, down-to-earth analogy, used by the Party leader to describe the fight against corruption, has become a popular saying among the people. People eagerly await the public conclusions of the Central Inspection Committee, and then they themselves can answer which “fresh wood” and “dry wood” will be thrown “into the furnace.” The fight against corruption, waste, and negative practices is no longer just isolated cases, but has become a movement, a trend. No individual can avoid participating.

With such a strong fight against corruption, and so many officials being disciplined and prosecuted, how do the people feel? Are they sad, do they have concerns and anxieties? Of course they are sad, very sad. Many veteran officials, who have dedicated and sacrificed their lives to the revolution, have shed tears when mentioning prominent cases, when talking about officials who violated both the law and morality, readily profiting from the suffering and misfortune of the people. But above all, they still believe that the fight against "internal corruption" will yield positive results, believing in the talent, character, integrity, and ethics of those who "burn the furnace." Without integrity and honesty, those above will not listen to those below. Without setting an example for oneself and one's family, how can one "manage one's family, govern the country, and bring peace to the world"? The exemplary conduct, decisiveness, and consistency between words and actions of the General Secretary, the Head of the Steering Committee, and key leaders serve as a solid foundation, a political guarantee, and a tremendous driving force for the fight against corruption.

The strength of the people is the wings that allow the nation to fly (Figure 5).

Over the past 10 years, through trial and error, the anti-corruption model led by the General Secretary has added the function of combating negative phenomena to fight against and punish those who turn their backs on the Party and whose ideals have faded. Following this central model, similar models will soon be implemented in all 63 provinces and cities to thoroughly direct the fight against corruption and negative phenomena at the local level, creating an "extended arm" to sweep away corrupt, degenerate, and morally compromised officials from the commune level to the central government. The people are waiting for and supporting this "burning furnace" campaign, despite countless difficulties and challenges. If we don't do it now, when will we? Only in this way can the country achieve sustainable development!

The strength of the people is the wings that allow the nation to fly (Figure 6).

In the Platform for Building the Country during the Transition Period to Socialism (supplemented and developed in 2011), our Party summarized: “ The strength of the Party lies in its close ties with the people. Bureaucracy, corruption, and alienation from the people will lead to immeasurable losses to the destiny of the country, the socialist regime, and the Party .” The Party clearly stated: In all its activities, the Party must thoroughly understand the ideology of “putting the people first,” building and promoting the right of the working people to be masters of their own destiny. The legitimate interests of the people must be the basis for formulating policies of the Party and the State.

The strength of the people is the wings that allow the nation to fly (Figure 7).

Today, our country has gone through difficult and dangerous times, and each time we overcome a challenge, we learn a great lesson about the spirit of national unity, a shared will to unite and take confident steps to integrate with the world, attracting positive momentum to maintain and protect national sovereignty and develop the economy to bring happiness to the people.

After 48 years of national reunification and 36 years of reform, Vietnam has transformed from a severely underdeveloped economy to a supply-demand economy. The country's economic growth has consistently remained very high, even during the period heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Vietnam's ranking on many global indices regarding investment and business environment, competitiveness, and innovation has continuously improved significantly. Vietnam is now an integral part of the global economy and a full member of many international organizations.

Today's achievements are the result of many contributing factors, but above all, the spirit of unity and solidarity, always placing the people at the center and as the subject of the reform process; taking the happiness and well-being of the people as the ultimate goal. Looking at the indicators of increasing per capita income, the gradual decrease in multidimensional poverty over time, the comprehensive development of the social security system to ensure "no one is left behind," and the protection of the people's legitimate rights and interests, these are vivid proofs of the Party and State's concern. The happiness index is also measured through criteria of satisfaction with life, the environment, social security policies, and welfare... With the strength of national unity and this belief, our country is entering a new era of opportunity, strongly developing all resources and creativity, opening up new opportunities to move towards the goal of a prosperous people and a strong nation.

The strength of the people is the wings that allow the nation to fly. (Figure 8)

The national development goals for 2030 – to become a developing country with a modern industrial sector in the upper group of upper-middle-income countries, and to become a modern industrialized country with a high income by 2045 – demonstrate the far-sighted vision of the Party in concretizing the will and aspirations of our nation. As some have pointed out, "Vietnam in 2045 is a beautiful picture that all of us and future generations have the opportunity to paint upon." This means that the aspiration for a prosperous and happy country is not just an empty slogan, but a goal and a driving force for all of us to strive for together.

These efforts have been recognized by the people. A new wave of progress in Party building and rectification, and in the fight against corruption and bureaucracy, has spread strongly throughout society. Especially since the 12th Party Congress, the situation is crystal clear: the Party's discipline is increasingly strict, with no "forbidden zones" or "exempt areas." The anti-corruption "furnace" ignited by General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong is burning fiercely. The people trust the Party, and its words match its actions! The great path we are treading is illuminated by the light of millennia, by the light of the new era, and by our integration with the world. Whether we move quickly or slowly depends on many factors, but the people's will and strength are the wings that will propel the nation forward!

The strength of the people is the wings that allow the nation to fly (Figure 9).
