The Miss Universe Organizing Committee said that the Disciplinary Committee, which is responsible for maintaining the integrity and value of the pageant, conducted a comprehensive assessment of the matter, based on the information gathered, and concluded that the withdrawal of Miss Italy Johan Mora was the appropriate action under the current circumstances.

The news that Italy’s Johan Mora withdrew from the competition surprised many people because she had been in Mexico and participated in some of the competition’s activities. Previously, Johan Mora was considered a strong candidate from the Americas region.

The 19-year-old beauty is a long-time model in her home country, possessing a beautiful face, a well-proportioned body, good performance and behavior skills.

As soon as the news of the Panamanian beauty's sudden withdrawal from the competition was posted, social networks and beauty sites were buzzing with discussion about the reason. Accordingly, the Panamanian representative was said to have a conflict with the Dominican Republic representative. They were considered roommates in this year's competition.

A source revealed that the Dominican beauty was said to have had a bad attitude and treatment towards the Panamanian beauty. While in the same room, the Dominican representative behaved impolitely, leading to the two beauties having a conflict, arguing and then fighting.

On November 3, the Panamanian beauty responded to the online information. In a letter posted on social media, Panama's representative said that she received the news of her disqualification from the competition on November 1 while she was preparing for the dinner event.

"I was informed that I violated the rules of leaving the room. The reason for leaving the room was to put on makeup and get some personal belongings. She said that everything that happened made her very sad because all the efforts and preparations of herself and the team had "gone down the drain". She really regretted not being able to continue participating in this year's competition.

The Miss Universe 2024 pageant is taking place in Mexico with the participation of 130 contestants. This is the contest with the largest number of beauty contestants in history.

The final will take place on November 16 and the reigning beauty queen is Nicaraguan beauty - Sheynnis Palacios. Vietnam's representative in this year's competition is Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen.
