“The mission of a teacher also includes the role of an ambassador for reading culture. Therefore, schools must have a bookshelf,” Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen shared at the talk show "Books and the mission of a teacher."

According to the speakers, the mission of a teacher is not only to impart knowledge but also to cultivate the personality of each student. In particular, the mission of a teacher is also to guide reading methods and build a reading culture for each student.
Giving the idea of the talkshow Books and the mission of teachers , Sbooks founder Nguyen Anh Dung expressed: "Throughout my life, I have been guided and guided by many teachers. And it was those teachers who helped me find books that changed my life." This was also shared by speakers Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, Trung Nghia, and Giang Ngoc from different perspectives.
In the era of integration, technology develops very quickly. The mission of a teacher is to help people cross the small river at the first stage, and the next teacher is the pages of books. Reading books is learning indirectly from a strict and impartial teacher.
Author Trung Nghia expressed: "Each of us is a physical body, we need to rest and eat to recover our movement. Artificial intelligence AI operates 24/7, so knowledge from AI helps people a lot and at the same time shows that today's development has no end. In such a context, learning here has a broad meaning."
Similarly, MC Giang Ngoc affirmed: "Books and teachers are not different, teachers are books and books are also teachers. I think, even though we have many things attracting our attention now, we always have an immortal teacher, which is books."

Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen believes that when we mention the two words "love of learning", we may find it too classical and too grand. However, there is a phrase that we mention more and more often today, which is lifelong learning. That is also the goal that all education systems in the world today, including Vietnam, are pursuing.
"So, "books and the mission of teachers" do not require any formal or grand ceremonies, but only encourage each person to learn for life. In the past, we could predict the future 20 years, 30 years more easily, but now people can only predict everything within about 3 to 5 years. Because the civilized world forces us to update and learn new skills. When people have a clear awareness of being "outdated" or "out of date", the spirit of learning is strongly aroused", said Dr. Thu Huyen.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen emphasized: "I believe that love of books and reading habits must be formed as early as possible, like the way we find a trustworthy teacher, in addition to the real teacher at school. From a psychological perspective, it is necessary to determine that when children have not yet been exposed to other attractive audiovisual pleasures, it is a suitable opportunity for parents to foster a love of books in their children. But when people are attracted to flashy values or easy-to-long entertainment channels, it is very difficult to have a hobby of reading.
I realize that the mission of a teacher also includes the role of an ambassador for reading culture. Therefore, schools must have bookshelves, families must have bookshelves, and reading conditions must be equal in both urban and rural areas."
