On August 15, Division 9 (Corps 4) held a conference to review the implementation of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army. Major General Le Van Huong, Commander of Corps 4, attended and gave a speech.
Colonel Nguyen Huu Thang, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Division 9 chaired the conference. Also attending the conference was Colonel Ngo Ngoc An, Division Commander of Division 9.
Over the past years, the Party Committee and Command of Division 9 (Corps 4), Party Committees and Party cells at all levels have focused on leading and directing the implementation of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army and documents from higher levels on the implementation of the Law. The Division regularly does a good job of training, improving the political, military and professional qualifications of its officers, building a team of officers with sufficient quantity, reasonable structure, and increasingly high quality, meeting the requirements of the mission. At the same time, it always pays attention to the thoughts and feelings, promptly resolving the regimes and policies for officers in service and the families of officers, especially officers with difficult family circumstances.

The conference focused on clarifying the results achieved, analyzing the limitations, causes and lessons learned, as well as identifying the difficulties and obstacles in implementing the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army in the past time. At the same time, it proposed and recommended important contents for all levels to pay attention to, such as: Researching to raise the military rank ceiling of officers holding the positions of deputy commanders at the battalion level, deputy heads of regimental agencies, increasing the retirement age of officers with the ranks of Majors and Lieutenant Colonels, supplementing regulations on responsibility allowances for officers holding the positions of assistants at the battalion, regimental and divisional agencies, paying more attention to the social insurance regime, housing, and official houses of officers...

Speaking at the conference, Major General Le Van Huong, Commander of the 4th Corps, acknowledged and commended the Party Committee and the command of Division 9 for their leadership and direction in effectively implementing the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army in the past time. At the same time, he requested that Division 9 continue to do a good job in educating, disseminating, propagating, and raising awareness of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army, promoting the spirit of solidarity and unity, focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles, regularly caring for, encouraging, training, and creating an environment for subordinates to develop their talents, especially the young officers.
At the conference, the Party Committee and Commander of Division 9 awarded prizes to collectives and individuals with good achievements in implementing the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.
