Boi River, Hoa Binh – ideal weekend camping spot

The Boi River has many sections of clear, shallow water where you can see the bottom. On both sides of the river are spacious, green lawns that are perfect for camping, spreading out carpets, resting, singing, and eating. The cool green river and the undulating hills and mountains attract many people who come here.

This campsite is about 80km from Hanoi . If you go from the city center, you can go towards Hoa Lac, through Xuan Mai - Ho Chi Minh trail - National Highway 21A - DT12B to Sao Bay. Then, turn left at Sao Bay bridge towards Dong Cho commune and then continue along the dirt road for a while to reach this wild campsite.

The Boi River, also known as the Hoang Long River, flows through the two provinces of Hoa Binh and Ninh Binh. This river is the main branch of the Hoang Long River and is supplied with water from two mineral water sources: Kim Boi mineral water (Hoa Binh) flowing into the upper stream and Kenh Ga mineral water (Ninh Binh) flowing into the lower stream of the Boi River. In recent years, the camping site in Dong Cho commune, Kim Boi district has become a favorite camping spot for many families.

The clear water, revealing the riverbed and gentle currents create a sense of peace and relaxation.

Prepare a camping tent: to protect you from the effects of the environment when sleeping, such as insects or rain and wind. Especially, if you intend to camp overnight at Boi River.

To prepare for the trip, you should bring an alcohol stove or charcoal stove to cook together. In addition, to increase the fun, group members can go pick up firewood to use when grilling chicken, skewers...

Prepare lighting : Although there are still households living around the Boi Hoa Binh River camping site , there are no high-pressure lamps, so you need to prepare suitable lighting when it gets dark.

Coming here with your family, you can set up tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the view in the middle of the river or set up a tent overnight right next to the river bank. The wide beach, clear and clean water here creates a very beautiful space.
