Since the beginning of the 13th National Congress, the Politburo and the Secretariat have issued a system of regulations and rules on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity with many specific provisions, creating a fairly complete legal corridor for the effective implementation of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Close coordination between anti-corruption units
After one year of operation, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity has actively participated in and handled many complicated cases that have attracted public attention. The member agencies of the Provincial Steering Committee and the Inspection Committees at all levels have coordinated closely and smoothly, thereby contributing to improving the effectiveness of anti-corruption work.
Some localities have made specific proposals, based on reality, including the Ho Chi Minh City Police, after discovering violations in the field of vehicle registration and testing, making specific proposals for the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Public Security to amend a number of regulations in these fields to suit reality.
The Ministry of Public Security also proposed that relevant ministries and agencies promptly amend a number of provisions in the Criminal Procedure Code, creating conditions for prosecuting fugitives after receiving an indictment and coordinating international judicial assistance. In addition, it recommended the early implementation of the Government’s Project 06 to limit the use of documents, thereby limiting the situation of “petty corruption”.
