Exciting response to the 2023 English Olympic Competition for students

On the morning of May 23, at Hon Gai High School (Ha Long City), the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with Ames English System to organize the Launching Ceremony in response to the 5th National English Olympiad for Students in 2023.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Phuong Thao spoke to encourage the students participating in the contest. — Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association of Quang Ninh province Nguyen Phuong Thao launched the contest.

The “National English Olympiad for Students” is organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, with the support of the AMES English system. This is a healthy playground, an effective and widespread learning and practice environment, creating excitement in the English learning movement for students of non-English major schools nationwide.

The preliminary round of Quang Ninh province takes place in 5 weeks from May 8, 2023 to June 5, 2023. Up to now, Quang Ninh province is ranked 19th nationwide in terms of the number of contestants, with more than 7,000 contestants participating in the 2 student and student categories.

Representatives of the Provincial Youth Union and Ames English system encouraged students to complete the exam.

At the launching ceremony, nearly 300 students of grades 10 and 11 from Hon Gai High School participated in the preliminary round online at olympicenglish.vn. Based on the results, the Organizing Committee selected candidates with guaranteed achievements to participate in the provincial preliminary round.

Quang Ninh province currently has more than 7,000 candidates participating in the exam.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and Ames English System awarded 15 full English scholarships worth 7,360,000 VND/scholarship to 15 students with excellent academic achievements.
