Attracting many schools to attend
Taking place in the context of the application of ERP technology solutions for business administration becoming increasingly popular and playing an important role in optimizing management and business activities, the SAP ERPsim 2024 competition has attracted the participation of many universities nationwide.
The 7 strongest teams from 7 leading universities in Vietnam were selected for the national finals, including: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Duy Tan University, University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University, University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City National University, International University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, FPT University, International Training Institute - Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

ERPsim is a business simulation platform on the SAP ERP system, in which participants use a real SAP S/4HANA system to manage their virtual company in a highly competitive market.
In the final round, the teams focused on applying ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to manage business resources and operations.
To compete well in the final round, the teams need to have a solid understanding of business processes and administration, enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), SAP systems, and practical operations on the SAP ERP system.
Handling huge amounts of information
Coming from the Faculty of Management of Nam Khue (SMI) of Duy Tan University, the DongRy Corporation team consisting of 5 members: Trinh Thanh Ly, Tran Dinh Tan Phat, Dinh Van Tan Phuc, Hoang Van Bao Quoc and Nguyen Duy Vu won the ERPSim category with the highest final company value.
Student Trinh Thanh Ly, a member of DongRy Corporation, shared: "The biggest difficulty that the teams faced in the competition was the process of processing a huge amount of information, and the constant changes in the market. The teams all had to make efforts to purchase, produce and sell products effectively and at a competitive level in terms of value.
The teams participating in this competition were not only very talented but also showed a very fierce competitive spirit. However, our team members were very united, closely coordinated, and worked well together throughout the competition and won the highest prize.
We would like to thank the teachers of the Business Intelligence Center (BIC), Duy Tan University for always wholeheartedly supporting the whole team during the competition as well as studying at the school. The knowledge gained while studying logistics & supply chain management at Duy Tan University has supported us a lot in the competition.
Besides, specialized subjects are taught entirely in English with foreign lecturers, which helps us effectively use the subsystems in the ERP system set up in English, as well as directly use English when participating in competitions."
The well-prepared team demonstrated excellent business strategy and great team spirit to overcome all the strong teams and won first prize at the competition.
This victory is not only a source of pride for Duy Tan University but also an important milestone when, for the first time, a team from the Central region has won the highest position in this prestigious competition, once again affirming Duy Tan University's position on the map of education and training of high-quality human resources.

Nguyen Minh Nhat - Deputy Dean of Nam Khue Management Faculty, Director of Business Intelligence Center (BIC), Duy Tan University said: "The SAP ERPsim Student Competition 2024 - VIETNAM is a comprehensive challenge that requires candidates to apply not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills when running a business in an ERP simulation environment.
Through many rounds, the members of Duy Tan University team have shown excellence in coming up with smart strategies in the company's operations, ensuring a complete cycle from production, supply to consumption of goods.
The team members' thorough analysis of financial data, supply chain management, demand forecasting and optimization of factors to maintain competitiveness and achieve high business value have affirmed the outstanding capabilities of the team members. They also used SAP ERP software very proficiently in the competition."
