Opening the workshop, Dr. Oh Seung Taek from Silkroad C&T Research Institute, Korea presented a paper on the topic “Development of new additives and concrete additives for use in hot weather”.

Dr. Oh Seung Taek emphasized that maintaining the durability of concrete is currently a major challenge in extreme weather conditions, especially in areas with extremely hot climates such as the Central region in general and Da Nang in particular. Meanwhile, Silkroad's admixture products are specially designed to have superior adaptability to the negative effects of high temperatures, minimizing risks related to shrinkage and cracking, helping to improve concrete quality and the concrete pouring environment.

Dr. Nguyen Van Quang explained that concrete cracking is a common phenomenon in the construction industry, due to many different causes such as shrinkage, thermal impact or errors during construction. At the same time, he also proposed a number of measures to overcome and prevent concrete cracking such as: Using suitable additives, applying advanced concrete pouring techniques...

Ms. Nguyen Thu Hien - Marketing Department of Silkroad Hanoi JSC, introduced Silkroad's construction material product line (mortar, tile adhesive, waterproofing, floor hardener) and the benefits of converting measurement units from Liter to Kilogram.

Ms. Thu Hien emphasized that the use of Kilogram unit not only helps to achieve higher accuracy in measuring and mixing ingredients but also ensures product stability and uniformity, while meeting international standards. Moreover, this conversion also makes the calculation and management process easier, minimizes errors and optimizes the workflow.

In the future, Silkroad will continue to actively invest in new technology and techniques. At the same time, it will regularly organize technical seminars to share knowledge about technology and update the latest trends in the construction industry.
