For subjects assessed and classified as having completed their tasks excellently: In 2024, the bonus is 4 times the basic salary; from 2025 onwards, the bonus is 8 times the basic salary. For subjects assessed and classified as having completed their tasks well: In 2024, the bonus is 3.5 times the basic salary; from 2025 onwards, the bonus is 7 times the basic salary. For subjects assessed and classified as having completed their tasks: In 2024, the bonus is 1.5 times the basic salary; from 2025 onwards, the bonus is 3 times the basic salary. During the year, if officers, professional soldiers, defense workers, etc. receive salaries from the state budget for 7 months or more, the bonus is 1 time the above bonuses; if they receive salaries from the state budget for less than 7 months, they will receive 1/2 of the above bonuses. The Circular also cites the example of "Comrade Nguyen Van A" being recruited as a professional soldier from August 1, 2025 with the rank of Second Lieutenant. The time for evaluating and classifying professional soldiers in 2025 of "Comrade A" unit is from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025. "Comrade A" is evaluated and classified as having completed his tasks well. At the time the unit evaluated and classified professional soldiers in 2025, "Comrade A" had an actual working time in 2025 of 3 months (from August 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025). "Comrade A" received an annual bonus of 3.5 times the base salary in 2025. "Comrade Major Tran Thi C" was on maternity leave from October 1, 2024 to April 1, 2025; The time for evaluating and classifying cadres in 2025 of the unit "Comrade C" is from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025. "Comrade C" is evaluated and classified as having completed his tasks well. At the time of the unit's evaluation and classification of cadres in 2025, "Comrade C" had an actual working time in 2025 of 7 months (from April 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025). "Comrade C" will receive a regular annual bonus of 2025 of 7 times the basic salary. Additional bonus for outstanding achievements Military personnel as prescribed in the circular are also entitled to an extraordinary bonus when they have outstanding achievements in unforeseen circumstances, occurring outside of the plan or outside of the regular tasks that the individual is assigned to undertake. The bonus level is implemented according to the extraordinary bonus regulations of the Ministry of National Defense. In case the subject has outstanding work achievements and is considered for promotion, salary increase before the term but has held the highest rank of the position, title held; has held the last salary level in the current salary type, group or if the outstanding work achievements are reserved but there is not enough working time left to be promoted, salary increase before the term or at the same time has other achievements that are eligible for consideration for promotion, salary increase before the term, in addition to the prescribed bonus, an additional amount of money equal to one month's salary as the basis for social insurance payment calculated at the time of the outstanding work achievements is considered. In case of performing the same task that is eligible for consideration of multiple bonus levels, only the highest bonus level is entitled. The extraordinary bonus regime does not apply to subjects who are rewarded according to the provisions of the Law on Emulation and Reward in the following forms: Reward for merit; reward for emulation movement; reward for the process of dedication, reward by seniority: reward for external affairs: reward.
