A national conference will be held to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification.

According to the plan of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the National Conference summarizing 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) was held on the morning of April 25 at the Dien Hong Conference Room, National Assembly Building (Hanoi).

It is expected that about 500 delegates will attend the conference, including leaders of the Party, State, central ministries and branches, leaders of provinces, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, local Literature and Arts Associations...

The conference aims to evaluate and affirm the achievements and results of Vietnamese literature and art 50 years after the country's reunification; propose and recommend policies and strategies for the development of the country's literature and art in the new period. At the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, localities and units about the position, role and importance of literature and art; encourage and motivate artists to continue to promote their talents, intelligence, solidarity and unity, enthusiastically create many works of high ideological and artistic value, contribute more to the construction and development of advanced Vietnamese culture, literature and art, imbued with national identity, contributing worthily to the cause of national construction and development in the new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

Many papers from ministries, departments, branches and prominent artists will be presented and analyzed on the main trends of the country's literature and arts. The opinions will clarify the contributions of artists in the cause of building and defending the country.

Within the framework of the conference is the exhibition "50 years of Vietnamese literature and art accompanying the nation" to introduce typical works, marking important stages of development.

This conference has special significance when looking back at the 50-year journey of Vietnamese literature and art since the country's reunification, opening up new strategic directions for the development of the country's literature and art in the next period.
