As of 9:00 a.m. this morning (September 13), the water level at Kim Tan Hydrological Station reached 11.81m, 0.19m below alert level 3 and the water is still rising.

Faced with the above situation, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Thach Thanh District is closely monitoring the flood situation on the Buoi River, ready to respond to bad situations. In which, the plan to evacuate and ensure the safety of people's lives is given top priority.

According to the response plan of Thach Thanh district, if the flood water of Buoi river rises above alert level 3, the district will proactively evacuate more than 900 households with over 3,000 people (in 9 communes along Buoi river without dikes).

In addition, for some localities where houses were flooded, the district requested the evacuation of the elderly and children to safe places.

According to statistics from the authorities of Thach Thanh district, by the morning of September 13, the rising flood of Buoi river had caused more than 300 households (in Kim Tan town, Thanh Truc commune, Thanh My commune...) to be flooded, and many traffic routes were cut off.

In isolated and divided areas, local authorities have received relief goods from volunteer groups and distributed them to affected people.
