On the afternoon of September 19, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, answering reporters' questions about the current tense developments in the Middle East and the protection of Vietnamese citizens in this region, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said: Vietnam is closely following and is deeply concerned about recent developments in the Middle East.

Vietnam calls on relevant parties to exercise restraint, end conflicts, increase dialogue, resolve disagreements by peaceful means, comply with international law and the United Nations Charter, for the benefit of the people and for peace and stability in the region and the world.
According to the latest information from the Vietnamese representative agencies in Egypt, Egypt concurrently in Lebanon, Iran and Israel, the situation of Vietnamese citizens in these areas remains safe and stable. Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese representative agencies in Egypt concurrently in Lebanon, the Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies in Iran and Israel continue to closely coordinate with local agencies to closely monitor the situation, proactively develop and deploy citizen protection plans, including plans to evacuate citizens from dangerous areas.
For Vietnamese citizens in the above-mentioned areas, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends regularly monitoring information from local authorities, warnings from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies in the areas to respond promptly.

*Also at the press conference, answering reporters' questions about the protection of Vietnamese citizens in the fishing boat capsize, including 3 Vietnamese crew members in the waters near Gunsan city (South Korea) on the morning of September 17, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said: Immediately after receiving information from the Korean authorities, the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea requested the Korean authorities to rescue the Vietnamese crew members, and at the same time coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure the prescribed regimes for the Vietnamese crew members. So far, it has been determined that there are no other crew members besides these 3 crew members. Currently, all 3 crew members are being treated in the hospital and are in stable health condition.
