"The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has organized training for staff and teachers so that each teacher can be an active propagandist to spread the beautiful image of the capital city of culture, civilization, and humanity," said the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
According to the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the introduction of "Hanoi Studies" and "Local Education" into schools is currently facing some obstacles, namely the school year curriculum framework according to the 2018 General Education Program, which stipulates that junior high school has 1,032 lessons/year - that is, about 29.5 lessons/week; high school has 1,015 lessons/year - about 29 lessons/week.
To include the subject "Hanoi Studies" and the Local Education Program in the school year's curriculum requires the education sector to have reasonable calculations to avoid overloading students. "Currently, the revised Capital Law has allowed Hanoi to be proactive in this. In the near future, when we receive permission, we will definitely implement "Hanoi Studies" in the education program" - the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training emphasized.
Affirming the practical educational significance of the subject "Hanoi Studies", Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said that with a thousand years of history and culture, Hanoi deserves to be a research subject. Many people have devoted their whole lives to learning about Hanoi.

Capital Law 2024: many special mechanisms and policies in attracting talent

"After the revised Law on the Capital takes effect from January 1, 2025, Hanoi will have the conditions to apply many specific mechanisms and policies and be proactive in recruitment, ensuring the attraction of high-quality human resources to work in the public sector" - Director of Hanoi Department of Home Affairs informed.
Solution to connect public transport routes?
At the program, delegate Le Tra My, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Thanh Xuan Bac Ward, Thanh Xuan District, pointed out the lack of connection between urban railway and bus routes, which limits people's travel on these routes.
“In the near future, does the city plan to develop and invest in any other railway lines or other means of transport to quickly connect these lines?” - delegate Le Tra My asked.
Answering this question, Director of Hanoi Department of Transport Nguyen Phi Thuong said that the city is developing, traffic congestion is real. Currently, we have about 8 million vehicles, including about 1.2 million cars.
“We also believe that the most fundamental solution is to invest in a new urban railway system that can solve traffic congestion. According to the plan, the city has 10 urban railway lines with a total length of 417km. With the city's great efforts, we now have 2 lines in operation. To fully exploit the potential, the urban railway network must be interconnected, we must have all 10 lines, however, within the scope of investment, we can only have one line at a time" - Director of Hanoi Department of Transport said.
The Director of the Hanoi Department of Transport also said that to create connectivity, the city also adjusted bus routes to collect passengers to urban railway lines; invested in tunnels, and there is also an immediate solution to create connectivity by developing a public bicycle system. "In the near future, there will be more 4-wheel electric vehicles to collect passengers from residential areas to urban railway lines" - Mr. Nguyen Phi Thuong said.
