The Hanoi Tax Department has just announced to taxpayers about the change of the agency's name. According to the announcement, from March 3, 2025, the Hanoi Tax Department will change its name to the Tax Department of Region I.
The name change is based on Decision No. 904/QD-BTC dated March 3, 2025 of the Ministry of Finance stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Regional Tax Branch under the Tax Department.

The one-stop department of the Hanoi and Hoa Binh Tax Departments will remain at the old addresses. |
About working location: Head office at 187 Giang Vo - Cat Linh Ward - Hanoi.
The one-stop shop in Hanoi is at G23-24 Thanh Cong – Nguyen Hong Ward – Hanoi.
The one-stop shop in Hoa Binh province is: Chi Lang Street - Quynh Lam Ward - Hoa Binh province.
“For administrative and financial transactions and documents sent to the Hanoi Tax Department, please use the new name of the agency,” the Hanoi Tax Department noted in a notice.
Thus, after the merger, the location for tax procedures of taxpayers in Hanoi and Hoa Binh will not change.
Previously, according to Decision No. 381/QD-BTC stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Tax Department and Decision No. 904/QD-BTC stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Regional Tax Branch under the Tax Department, from then on, the Regional Tax Branch I will manage taxes in the area of 2 provinces and cities: Hanoi and Hoa Binh.
