"Independence Star": A heroic program honoring patriotism

On the evening of September 1 at the Opera House (Hanoi), Communist Magazine, Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Hanoi City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee organized the Independence Star program to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023) and National Day September 2.

Attending the program were: Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association and many delegates from ministries, branches and central agencies.

The program also had veteran revolutionaries, people with meritorious services during the resistance wars from Tuyen Quang province, Hanoi capital and officers and soldiers with many achievements in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the country from the Navy.

Accordingly, the Independence Star is an annual activity to celebrate the anniversary of the nation's great event, contributing to reminding all Vietnamese people to always be grateful and deeply remember the great sacrifices of the previous generations, at the same time recalling the arduous and heroic historical journey, further understanding and appreciating the value of peace, independence and freedom today.

The program's organizers said that this year's Sao Doc Lap has many new features, such as the script that smoothly and harmoniously combines artistic quality and political significance. In addition, the program reflects the focus of the 78-year process of independence and autonomy, steadfastly following the path of socialism of our country since the August Revolution and National Day September 2, 1945.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department and Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union presented gifts to delegates with revolutionary contributions from Tuyen Quang province and Hanoi capital. This is a great source of encouragement for delegates who contributed to the struggle for independence of our nation.

The Sao Doc Lap art program consists of 2 parts, representing 2 stages: Revolutionary Autumn - the whole nation unites and builds independence and Autumn of Aspiration - the whole country firmly believes and perseveres towards success . The interweaving of 2 central reports and 15 art performances with heroic revolutionary songs, youth songs, lyrical music, elaborately staged, impressively arranged, highly interactive images, creates a whole containing messages and connotations about national strength, indomitable will in each revolutionary stage of our people.

Many audiences were moved when watching the art performance of Sao Doc Lap . In part 1, the program showed the reportage Desire for Independence through the story of former prisoners of Hoa Lo Prison. Although in prison, they were brutally tortured by the enemy, the will of the revolutionaries was not extinguished but grew stronger, yearning for the day when the country was independent and every citizen was free. The reportage highlighted the patriotism of the Vietnamese people and the spirit of the revolutionary soldiers.

Through each performance, the audience also felt the heroic spirit, pride, and serenity through many works of art such as: Medley of Viet Minh Flag - August Flag, Thao River Guerrilla, Tuyen Quang Forest Reflecting Tan Trao, Liberation of Dien Bien, Marching to Hanoi, We Proudly Go Up, Oh Vietnam, Victory Monument ...

The opening of part 2 of the program is a reportage with the theme of Vietnamese Courage . The work reviews some of the difficult stages that the country has faced throughout the journey from the day of gaining independence until now, but each time facing difficulties, the whole nation becomes more united, under the leadership of the Party, the whole nation steadfastly overcomes and achieves important achievements.

After that, the audience continued to enjoy the sweet melodies of the songs Cung đàn đất nước, Thênh thang đường mới, Tự hương tiến chân sau trong co dang (Proudly advancing under the Party flag), Nam quốc sơn hà (Southern mountains and rivers), Việt Nam tôi (My Vietnam), Xin cung đầu (Please bow your head), Xin bi n ong (Please be on), Ý chí Việt Nam (Vietnamese will), and Giai diep Tổ quốc (Fatherland melody).

All are filled with love for the homeland and country, expressing the desire to assert oneself, contributing to the cause of building, developing and protecting the Fatherland of every Vietnamese citizen.

Emotion and pride are the common feelings of the audience when watching the program Sao Doc Lap . With elaborate staging and performances, the program seems to add a "flame" of tradition so that the younger generation can understand and love more the noble values ​​of patriotism.
