Ready for the "Going to the Fields" Festival "Returning to the Cultural Heritage of Quang Yen"

Originating from the custom of holding the "Ha dien" and "Thuong dien" ceremonies of the residents of the river island region of Ha Nam , the Xuong dong festival is usually held in the beginning of the sixth lunar month every year - before the people here start planting rice. With the theme "Returning to the Quang Yen cultural heritage", in 2024, the festival will be held at the town level; in which the highlight is the ceremony to receive the National Intangible Cultural Heritage certificate. Up to now, all preparations have been basically completed by Quang Yen town to serve the festival.

Coc Communal House and Cua Dinh River - in Phong Coc Ward, are the center of the festival. All preparations for the ceremony have been proactively carried out by relevant units. In addition to the ceremony organized in the traditional way with many special activities such as: "Yết" worship ceremony at Coc Communal House, "Yết" swimming competition at Cua Dinh River, "Chieu Cheo San Dinh" cultural exchange, rice planting competition, photo exhibition... The new point of this year's Xuong Dong Festival is the participation of people from 5 localities: Phong Coc, Yen Hai, Phong Hai, Lien Hoa and Ha An.

Preserved by the people of Quang Yen town for hundreds of years, this year's Festival has the theme "Returning to the Quang Yen Cultural Heritage" and received the National Intangible Cultural Heritage certificate. The organization of the Going to the Field Festival and receiving the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Certificate in Quang Yen is an important event of the town to realize Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee on "Building and promoting cultural values, human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource, a driving force for rapid and sustainable development"; Resolution No. 20-NQ/TU dated November 27, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee "on directions and tasks for 2024" and the working theme of the year "Improving the quality of economic growth; developing culture, people rich in Quang Ninh identity". Up to now, all preparations for the festival such as: stage installation, festive decoration, sound, lighting, LED screen installation, environmental sanitation, landscape sanitation at the festival area... have been basically completed, creating favorable conditions for the festival to take place.

With active and thoughtful preparation, Quang Yen Town is ready for the local cultural, sports and tourism events, aiming to attract and leave a good impression in the hearts of tourists and people.
