On the evening of September 28, the City People's Committee held a rehearsal for the opening program of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week (CST) 2023; to receive the Certificate of recognition as UNESCO Global Geopark (GGP) of Non Nuoc Cao Bang after the first re-evaluation. Attending the rehearsal were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Truong Huy, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week 2023; members of the Organizing Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches and the City.
As planned, the opening program of the 2023 Culture, Sports and Tourism Week; receiving the Certificate of recognition of the title of UNESCO Global Geopark of Non Nuoc Cao Bang after the first re-evaluation will be held at 7:30 p.m. on September 30 at the Ho Chi Minh President Monument (City).
At the rehearsal, more than 260 actors of the City's Mass Art Troupe participated in 14 performances. The art program with the theme "Cao Bang Mountains and Rivers - Wonders in the Heritage Land" with a duration of 60 minutes includes 2 chapters, 13 dance and singing performances. The art program has a meticulous and grand investment, beautiful costumes and props, expressing the unique cultural identity of the ethnic groups of Cao Bang.
Along with the art program, the opening program also includes a report promoting tourism and the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark; the ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition of the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark after the first re-evaluation.
After the rehearsal, the provincial leaders, departments, branches, and members of the Organizing Committee met to gain experience and give comments on a number of contents, such as: program banner; space, stage layout; program script; illustrations for performances; performance costumes; singers, artists, etc., to make the program better and more suitable to the content and theme. After the rehearsal, the relevant units received comments, discussed and promptly overcame limitations and shortcomings, promptly completed, supplemented, and edited to ensure the official opening ceremony was successful, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of the people and visitors.
Previously, on September 27, the Province also held a meeting to collect opinions on the draft plans for the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival and the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week in 2023. Accordingly, in addition to the plan for cultural and sports programs, traffic diversion plans and security and order during the event are also guaranteed to leave a good impression on domestic and foreign tourists.

In particular, the opening ceremony will be held on the evening of September 30. For the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival, the opening ceremony was held on October 6, titled “The Waterfall Tells Cultural Stories” with sports activities and art performances. Up to now, the preparation work for the events has been accelerated by relevant departments, branches and localities, ensuring that the plan is followed. |
