On the morning of December 10, Sam Son City held a conference to review tourism activities in 2024 and deploy tourism development tasks in 2025. In 2024, Sam Son tourism continues to affirm itself as an attractive, friendly and safe destination for tourists. Sam Son coastal urban tourism area welcomed 8.86 million visitors, equal to 109.3% over the same period, reaching 104.3% of the plan; serving 17.27 million visitor days, equal to 109.6% over the same period, equal to 104.7% of the plan.

Total revenue from tourists reached 17.1 trillion VND, equal to 140.6% over the same period, equal to 108.8% of the plan.

Sam Son coastal tourist urban area welcomes 8.86 million visitors in 2024, total revenue from tourists reaches 17.1 trillion VND, continuing to affirm the leading position of Thanh Hoa tourism.

In 2024, Sam Son City has put into operation many new destinations and tourism products, creating an impression, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate such as: Sea square and festival landscape axis; SunWorld Water Park; Memorial area for compatriots, cadres, soldiers, and students from the South who gathered in the North; Van Phu area...

During the year, the city has coordinated and successfully organized a series of cultural, sports and tourism events that left a good impression on friends and visitors. In particular, the opening of the 2024 sea tourism festival and the inauguration of the Sea Square, the Sam Son City festival landscape axis; the 70th anniversary of welcoming compatriots, cadres, soldiers and students from the South to the North and the inauguration of the Memorial Area; Live TV bridge with HTV, VTV to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the event of the North (1954 - 2024).

To promote the role of the province's "smokeless industry" locomotive, from the beginning of 2024, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Steering Committee for tourism activities in Sam Son City have assigned specific tasks to each collective and individual, close to reality, ensuring the motto "Sam Son tourism service business activities - safe, civilized, friendly and sustainable development".

The City People's Committee has issued and effectively implemented plans to arrange and manage trade and tourism services in the area. Up to now, the city has arranged 193 suitable points of sale and assigned them to the People's Committees of wards for direct management; requiring business households to sign commitments on price declaration and posting.

Management work to ensure security - order, traffic safety, fire prevention; food hygiene and safety, and beach safety is well organized, creating favorable conditions for tourists when coming to Sam Son.

In addition to the achieved results, tourism activities in Sam Son City still have some limitations and difficulties such as: Low service quality, low added value; encroachment on sidewalks and roads to sell goods; 4-wheel electric vehicles and cyclos are parked illegally; some accommodation establishments still violate fire prevention and fighting regulations; the phenomenon of selling fresh goods, organizing cooking, and selling stalls in the mooring areas of rafts and boats still exists; environmental sanitation is sometimes not guaranteed...

At the conference, delegates proposed goals and solutions to continue developing tourism activities in 2025. Accordingly, the city strives to welcome 9.68 million visitors, serve 19.9 million visitor days, and earn an estimated tourism revenue of VND21 trillion.

To contribute to the province's tourism industry to successfully complete its goals and tasks for 2025, he suggested that the city continue to improve the effectiveness of its direction, operation and state management in the tourism sector, especially price management and business of tourist transportation services by electric cars. For Hubways, there needs to be an effective management and exploitation plan to bring a new look to Sam Son beach; determined to build a more civilized and safer tourism environment.

Create a favorable environment to attract strategic investors and businesses with strong brands; effectively support investors in the implementation process to accelerate the progress of key projects. In particular, focus on supporting the thorough resolution of problems for Sun Group's projects.

Research and organize cultural, sports and tourism events in the low season. Focus on mobilizing local tourism businesses to join hands in implementing the campaign "Sam Son Winter - sublime experience", combined with deep discount programs and rich supplementary services to promote four-season tourism activities. Strive to have at least one new tourism product announced and put into operation each year.

On this occasion, 11 collectives and 25 individuals with outstanding achievements in tourism activities in 2024 received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Sam Son City People's Committee.
