SABECO continues to be in the top prestigious beverage companies in Vietnam

Amidst the context of many global brands penetrating and dominating the Vietnamese market, SABECO continues to affirm its position by being in the top prestigious companies in the food and beverage industry for 8 consecutive years.
Recently, Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company announced the "Top 10 prestigious companies in the food and beverage industry in 2024" with 9 industry groups. In which, Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation ( SABECO ) continues to be in the top leading companies in the alcoholic beverage industry. The "Top 10 prestigious beverage companies in 2024" ranking is independently and objectively researched by Vietnam Report, published annually since 2017, based on the Media Coding method (encoding press data) in the media, combined with in-depth research on key industries with high growth potential. Accordingly, Vietnam Report conducts coding of articles about the Food and Beverage industry published in influential newspapers from August 2023 to July 2024. The articles are analyzed and evaluated at the story level on 24 specific aspects of the companies' operations, from products, business results, markets... to the activities and reputation of the company's leaders. In 8 publications, SABECO was also ranked 8 times in the top prestigious companies in the food and beverage industry, alcohol industry group. This shows the strong influence and competitiveness of the company that owns the famous Saigon Beer brand, which is nearly 150 years old, in the domestic market.

In the context of many fluctuations in the world due to war, inflation, and increased input costs due to the global supply chain crisis, many businesses in the industry have been under pressure. The supply of raw materials from abroad has become difficult, increasing production costs, thereby affecting commodity prices and profit margins. Along with that, the strict implementation of Decree 100 has strongly impacted people's consumption of alcoholic beverages. However, SABECO has remained resilient in the face of challenges, finding ways to adjust strategies, optimize production processes, and seek alternative solutions to minimize external impacts. These efforts not only helped SABECO overcome the difficult period, but also created momentum for growth in the first half of 2024. SABECO's consolidated financial report for the second quarter of 2024 showed that in the first 6 months, SABECO earned more than VND 13,400 billion from beer sales, accounting for 88% of total revenue. Net revenue after the first 2 quarters of the year reached VND 15,270 billion, recording a net profit of VND 2,246 billion, up 5% and 6% respectively compared to the first half of last year in a context where the company assessed that the economy had improved. Compared to the set revenue and profit plans, SABECO has completed 44% of the revenue target and 51% of the profit plan for the whole year. SABECO's consolidated financial report for the second quarter of 2024 shows that net revenue after the first two quarters of the year reached VND 15,270 billion, recording a net profit of VND 2,246 billion, completing 44% of the revenue target and 51% of the annual profit plan. In addition to positive business results, SABECO also made its mark when its product quality continued to be recognized not only in the domestic market but also in the world. According to Kantar's Vietnam Brand Footprint 2024 report, Saigon Beer brand continued to maintain its position as the top 2 most purchased beverage brand in rural areas in 2023, with a growth of 10.5% in terms of purchase occasions and 8.1% in terms of household purchase rate. SABECO products, including Saigon Beer and Lac Viet Beer, recently won many gold and silver medals at the 2024 World Beer Awards. SABECO also actively contributed to community development through programs such as "Lighting up the Countryside" installing 73 km of solar-powered street lights in 63 provinces and cities across the country; "Elevating Sports" with the upgrading of 30 community sports fields in 30 localities.
