"In the near future, this complex will take on combat duty. Belarusian air defense gunners have completed the entire training course on using the system in combat at Russian training facilities," the statement said.
The Ministry added that Belarusian military personnel are ready to apply their knowledge and skills in practice to ensure the military security of the Union State.
The supply of air defense systems is carried out within the framework of military and military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Russia.
Currently, Minsk continues to take measures to build up the combat potential of the regional army group, including equipping the formations and military units of the Belarusian armed forces with new, modern weapons.
Commander of the Belarusian Air Defense Forces Andrei Lukyanovich emphasized: "The S-400 air defense missile system is an important factor in ensuring the security of the country and the peaceful labor of our people."
Moscow and Minsk have signed an agreement to deploy Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. On May 28, Belarusian Security Council Secretary Alexander Volfovich said that the West had left Minsk with no choice but to deploy tactical nuclear weapons.
