(Dan Tri) - Accompanying the children to school in Chieng Ban village (Tu Nang, Yen Chau, Son La), ROX Key Holdings Joint Stock Company sponsored the repair of the corrugated iron roof for the classrooms, renovated the library, donated books, supplies... and awarded scholarships to the students.

The community-oriented activity "Going to school with you" is part of the ROX Share program that ROX Key carries out annually. Through information from the Yen Chau District Education Department, a representative of ROX Key said that they had surveyed the Chieng Ban school in Tu Nang commune and found that the school's facilities had seriously degraded. The grade 4 classrooms built 17 years ago were leaking, and the walls were cracked. The gate, school sign, and playground were not safe for students. The school also did not have a library corner for students to read books.
"Tu Nang is one of the particularly disadvantaged communes of Yen Chau district. The 80 students at Chieng Ban school are all children of the Thai, Mong and Xinh Mun ethnic groups, born and raised in difficult economic conditions. Meanwhile, the learning conditions and classrooms have deteriorated. The school has reinforced and repaired many times, but up to now, the reinforced and repaired areas continue to peel, crack and leak," said a representative of the school.
To help students go to school in better conditions, ROX Key said it had provided a budget of VND75 million to help the school re-roof the classrooms and build a new library. Along with that, the company also launched a fundraising campaign within the company with a total gift value of up to VND100 million.
Thanks to the team's cooperation, ROX Key donated more than 900 books, water tanks, plastic chairs, volleyball sets, soccer balls and many other useful items to the school. 80 gifts including backpacks, study lamps, notebooks, school supplies and toys were handed out to the students. In addition, the group also awarded 2 scholarships for overcoming difficulties and 34 gifts to support children in difficult circumstances.
Students in difficult circumstances receive support gifts from the program.
