Drone footage captured the moment a Russian tank's ammunition exploded, ending with the tank's turret being torn off.
The exact time and location of the video have not been released. The Russian Defense Ministry has also not commented on the content of the video.
According to various open sources, a Russian T-80 tank costs between $2 and $4 million. This type of tank is less widely used in the Russian military than the T-72. The T-80 model is famous for its complicated maintenance and high fuel consumption.
Earlier, the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction of a Russian T-80 tank with a TOW anti-tank missile fired from an American Bradley infantry fighting vehicle.
With a length of 9.5m, width of 3.38m, height of 2.22m and payload of 46 tons, the T-80BV tank is one of the main battle tanks with strong combat capabilities of the Russian army.

The T-80BV main battle tank is equipped with a 125mm 2A46M-4 smoothbore gun. To enhance its ability to destroy enemy armored targets, the T-80BV is also capable of carrying 9M119 Refleks anti-tank missiles using Tandem explosive warhead technology.
In terms of defense, the T-80BV tank is equipped with new generation Relikt explosive reactive armor and Kord and PKT machine guns to counter enemy missiles and infantry.
The T-80BV can run at speeds of up to 80km/h and has a range of about 500km. Normally, the vehicle will be operated by a crew of 3 people. In the Ukrainian battlefield, the T-80BV is one of the main tanks of the Russian army.
In recent times, Russian armored forces have suffered many losses on the Ukrainian battlefield due to modern anti-tank weapons provided by the US and the West to Kiev. Therefore, the deployment of T-80BV tanks will be a timely and necessary addition to Russia's armored forces in Ukraine.
Compared to the T-72B, the T-80BV offers superior combat capabilities thanks to its advanced fire control system. However, operational shortcomings have led to the Russian military having to decommission many T-80 tanks since the 2000s.
