According to Associate Professor, Dr. Ha Minh Hong, General Secretary To Lam skillfully used documents and materials to elevate the content and open up the issue in a new way. For example, in the last part of the article, General Secretary To Lam cited the number of nearly 5,000 party members in 1945 when the August Revolution succeeded, over 500,000 party members in the 1960s of the last century when entering the long-term resistance war for independence and national unification, and the number of over 5.4 million party members today, demonstrating the growth in both quantity and quality, to affirm that our Party is capable of undertaking the responsibility and historical mission of entering a new era, the era of national growth.

Reality has proven that over the past 95 years, the great victories of our nation in the August Revolution, the resistance war against the French colonialists and the invading American imperialists, the firm protection of the Fatherland's borders and especially the proud achievements in the cause of national construction and development... are all associated with the role and correct and creative leadership of the Party.

In the article, the General Secretary raised 7 key issues on Party building work in response to new requirements of the revolutionary cause, especially in the context of deep international integration and challenges from the current world situation. These are very fundamental, practical, effective, breakthrough and comprehensive solutions, with both short-term and long-term goals, integrated with the policies, guidelines and solutions that we have been implementing vigorously in recent times.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Trang, the content of "steadfastly upholding the Party's goals and ideals" is considered by the General Secretary to be the most important and top priority issue, the most core issue in Party building work, the foundation, the factor shaping other solutions. In addition, the General Secretary also emphasized the role of perfecting the Party's theoretical system because a solid theoretical foundation will determine the correctness of the country's leadership and development strategy. The General Secretary also pointed out that the building of the Party's theoretical system needs to be objective, honest, straightforward, constantly consolidated, perfected, supplemented... in order to promote the Party's leadership role.

Also expressing his appreciation for General Secretary To Lam's article, Dr. Vu Trung Kien, Deputy Head of the Party Building Department, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Region II, said that General Secretary To Lam's article conveyed the message, fostered the confidence, pride and responsibility of each cadre and party member today, so that they could overcome challenges, step firmly under the glorious flag of the Party, worthy of the generations of fathers and grandfathers, worthy of the heroic history of the Party and the nation.

In the current period, when the whole country is facing new opportunities and challenges to continue the cause of innovation with the top priority being to successfully implement the strategic goals by 2030, Vietnam becomes a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045, it becomes a developed socialist country with high income, more than ever, it is necessary to always maintain and strengthen the leadership role of the Party, build strong Party cell organizations, and train Party members with qualities and capacities equal to the tasks.

In particular, studying, learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in Party building in general and in building a clean and strong Party cell in particular is of great significance.

Party members must always be united, exemplary, and practice what they preach. Unity is not only in words but also in work, self-criticism and criticism to help each other progress. Unity is an inevitable attribute, the strength of the Party. Therefore, the Party must always maintain unity and solidarity, considering it a special task, a principle in Party building and rectification. The Party must regularly practice broad democracy, regularly and seriously practice self-criticism and criticism. That is the best way to consolidate and develop the Party's unity and solidarity. Each Party member and cadre must be truly diligent, frugal, honest, upright, impartial, and must keep our Party truly clean, and must be worthy of being a leader and a loyal servant of the people.

Sharing this view, Ms. Pham Tam Hieu (50 years of Party membership in Giang Vo Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) said that, along with the work of rectifying and building a clean and strong Party, the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity, and waste needs to continue to be implemented resolutely, synchronously, comprehensively, and systematically, without forbidden areas or exceptions, creating deterrence and warning, thereby contributing to cleaning up the apparatus and strengthening people's trust in the Party.

Currently, corruption, negativity, and waste are burning issues, causing serious consequences; directly undermining the country's development, causing political instability, and threatening the survival of the regime. In particular, these evils are corrupting cadres and party members; reducing people's trust in the Party; creating a premise for social instability; creating conditions for hostile forces to take advantage of the "peaceful evolution" strategy, causing riots and overthrowing, weakening the leadership of the Party and the management of the State.

According to Ms. Pham Tam Hieu, at this time, the issue of preventing and combating waste is necessary to be implemented drastically and synchronously with effective solutions, creating a strong spread, becoming a voluntary and self-conscious action of each cadre, party member and citizen, creating a culture of behavior in the new era. Only then can the country enter the era of national development.

Regarding the content of enhancing the application of science and technology and digital transformation in Party building, Mr. Dao Ngoc Nghiem, Standing Member of the Hanoi Union of Science and Technology Associations, Vice President of the Hanoi Urban Planning and Development Association, said that in the context of international integration, Vietnam has had significant approaches to science and technology. Specifically, it has focused on specific mechanisms and policies to mobilize young intellectual resources to participate in socio-economic development; at the same time, applying information technology in professional activities of the Party to promote administrative reform. In particular, in the context of increasingly streamlined staff due to the implementation of organizational restructuring and staff streamlining, proactively innovating leadership methods and applying digital transformation in the activities of Party committees is an urgent task.

To promote the application of information technology to meet the requirements of digital transformation in the Party, according to Mr. Dao Ngoc Nghiem, in the coming time, the application of information technology to meet the requirements of digital transformation in Party agencies needs to be deployed continuously, persistently, substantially and effectively; ensuring inheritance and innovation with solid steps, suitable for the reality of each individual and unit.

Accordingly, Party agencies need to focus on building and receiving the transfer of specialized information systems. Specifically, receiving and putting into use information systems, shared services and internal applications such as: information systems of sectors and Party committees; asset management software in the Party agency system; synchronously and effectively deploying technical infrastructure and transferred information system software.

In addition, Party agencies need to deploy and build information systems using new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data analysis, increase connectivity and sharing, serve the work of consulting, synthesizing, statistics, and forecasting; promote digitalization, exchange of electronic documents on computer networks; exploit data with national databases...

General Secretary To Lam and other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State visited the exhibition area at the National Conference on Breakthroughs in Science, Technology, Innovation and National Digital Transformation held on the morning of January 13, 2025, at the National Assembly House.

“In the context of digital transformation taking place strongly around the world, promoting the application of digital transformation, applying science and technology to management and operation activities is an important solution to reduce administrative work and cut human resources. However, to effectively implement this solution, it is necessary to first focus on training, fostering and improving digital capacity for cadres, especially young people. It is necessary to arrange young cadres with scientific and technical expertise in Party committees at all levels. At the same time, there are also policies and mechanisms to encourage and promote the passion for research of intellectuals and scientists, especially young scientists, and recruit them to work in agencies of the political system,” said Ms. Y Viet Sa, Deputy Secretary of Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union.

For his part, Mr. Dang Thanh Long, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Kon Tum province, affirmed that, recognizing the importance of science and technology, in the Party's documents, Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, all identify science and technology development as the top national policy. As the ruling party, leading the government, the Party is required to constantly innovate on par with the tasks assigned by history. The Party must improve its leadership capacity, fighting strength, access and application of science and technology, innovate leadership methods and working style. Mr. Dang Thanh Long emphasized: "More broadly, it is necessary to apply science and technology to Party building work. This is an objective and inevitable requirement for our Party to have the capacity to lead the political system, responding to the 4.0 technology era and digital transformation".
