On the afternoon of March 26, the Organizing Committee of the Hoa Lu Festival 2024 held a conference to review the progress of preparations and activities to celebrate the 1100th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang (924-2024) and the Hoa Lu Festival 2024.
Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Hoa Lu Festival 2024 chaired the conference. Also attending were members of the Organizing Committee; Department of Construction; Truong Yen commune.
The conference listened to the leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports report on the progress of implementing Plan No. 157/KH-UBND dated October 20, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee to organize the Hoa Lu Festival in 2024; Plan No. 41/KH-UBND dated March 5, 2024 adjusting and supplementing some contents of Plan No. 157.
Accordingly, the organization will celebrate the 1100th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang (924-2024), opening the Hoa Lu Festival in 2024 on a provincial scale with the status of a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The festival will be held for 3 days, from April 17-19 (ie March 9-11 of the lunar calendar) at the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Special National Monument.
The festival includes traditional rituals (temple opening ceremony, water procession ceremony, bathing ceremony, incense offering ceremony, offering ceremony, palanquin procession ceremony, nine-curve sacrifice, traditional sacrifice, national peace and prosperity ceremony, lantern festival, thanksgiving ceremony) and cultural activities, sports, folk games, display activities, exhibitions, camping at the festival space...
Up to now, the contents of assigning tasks to sectors, units, districts and cities have been implemented on schedule.
The Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with localities to carry out propaganda and visual promotion on some main roads in Ninh Binh city, the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital area and the Dinh and Le Kings' temples, the Festival grounds; the work of beautifying the landscape of the Dinh and Le Kings' temples, the Festival grounds, the archaeological relic exhibition area south of the Le Kings' temple, and ensuring environmental sanitation in the Festival grounds was focused on.
The logistics conditions for the opening of the Festival and the welcoming art program are being developed in detail by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with relevant agencies and units; the ceremonial and festival activities are being actively prepared by Hoa Lu district and other localities and units...
At the conference, representatives of member units of the Hoa Lu Festival Organizing Committee reported on the progress of the implementation of assigned tasks, proposed issues arising during the implementation process for the Festival Organizing Committee to consider and comment on: Planning of sales locations, organization of booths; traffic flow plan, ensuring traffic, security and safety at the Festival; coordination between local authorities, functional agencies, and forces in ensuring conditions for organizing the Festival; propaganda work about the event on mass media; power supply plan; ensuring environmental sanitation...
Concluding the conference, Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Hoa Lu Festival 2024 emphasized: 2024 is the occasion to celebrate the 1100th anniversary of the birth of King Dinh Tien Hoang (924-2024). This is an important event that the province is interested in organizing with a series of unique and meaningful activities associated with Hoa Lu Festival 2024 to commemorate and pay tribute to the great contributions of the ancestors in the cause of building and defending the country; arousing the tradition of indomitable patriotism, national pride and self-respect.
