According to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment, in the first 9 months of 2023, the province's economic growth (GRDP) is estimated at 7-7.5% (the whole year plan is over 8%, the same period last year reached nearly 2%).
Industrial production activities have recovered, with the 9-month production index estimated to increase by 5.6%. Unit 1 of Vung Ang I Thermal Power Plant resumed operation after nearly 2 years of inactivity, and VinES Battery Factory began commercial production at the end of August, which are new growth factors for the industry.
Trade and service activities continued to maintain growth. Export turnover was estimated at 2.1 billion USD, up 60% over the same period.

Agricultural production was a bumper crop. Spring rice yielded the highest yield ever; summer-autumn yield was estimated at 50.28 quintals/ha, output was estimated at over 224,000 tons, and selling prices were higher than in previous years. Livestock activities remained stable.
The task of building new rural areas has been focused on directing and implementing. Recently, the province has recognized 2 communes meeting new rural standards, 8 communes meeting advanced new rural standards and 5 communes meeting model new rural standards.
Total budget revenue in the area is estimated at over 12,400 billion VND, reaching 66% of the estimate, equal to 86% of the same period. Total social investment capital is estimated at 36,400 billion VND, reaching 81% of the plan, up 33% over the same period. Disbursement of public investment is estimated at 6,150/9,573 billion VND, reaching 64% of the plan and higher than the same period.
In the first 9 months, 12 domestic projects and 1 foreign project were approved for investment with a total investment of nearly 3,000 billion VND. Nearly 900 new enterprises were established, reaching 90% of the yearly plan.

Labor and employment policies and social security activities were implemented synchronously. Specifically, jobs were created for nearly 19,000 people, reaching 85% of the plan; more than 1,800 solid houses were built for poor households and households affected by natural disasters.
The security situation, social order and safety are generally stable. Foreign affairs continue to be implemented synchronously and comprehensively.
