Quarter I/2024: Aquatic product output reached 24,719 tons

According to statistics from the agricultural sector, in the first 3 months of 2024, the output of exploited aquatic products was 24,719 tons, an increase of 4.7% over the same period; the output of farmed aquatic products was estimated at 1,746.7 tons, an increase of 3.5% over the same period.

To achieve the above plan, the provincial agricultural sector has promoted information for fishermen to grasp information on the fight against illegal IUU fishing, installed tracking devices, etc. In the field of aquaculture, priority is given to the application of scientific and technical advances in new materials such as HDPE plastic cage structures, load-bearing mesh cages, the use of auxiliary machinery and equipment, and solar-powered lighting on ships.
